"While I'm sure Mina will show your fiance an interesting thing or two, but by far the most beautiful elements of mythfolk culture are to be found here," Tasos explained with charming flair. "In the basement of this fine establishment you will find a great many creations of the sylvan peoples among the mythfolk."
"Sylvan?" Jan asked attentively.
"It's a term used to describe races of mythfolk that tend to live mostly in the forests," Tasos explained.
"I see, how are you dealing with living in a town like this? Is it much of a culture shock?" She wondered.
"A little bit," he admitted. "but I wanted to see the bustling towns of humans. I originally lived in the countryside with my parents, but satyrs are a people filled with wanderlust, especially in young ones like me I'm told. So I moved in with my aunt, who lives in this fine town. She's a longtime friend of Kaya's family," he explained.
"Oh? Does that mean we'll be seeing her at the party, Saturday?" Jan asked.
"Party?" Tasos asked with a look of confusion.
Oh geez, Jan thought. Is he too young? Did I just tell him something he shouldn't have known?
He chuckled merrily, "Forgive me, Jan, but I couldn't help but tease you a little. She will indeed go, and in fact it will be my first time going as well. I became of age not too long ago." He gazed at her knowingly.
He was very handsome. Jan felt kind a like a cougar being checked out by this younger man, but she liked it. If Steve can have fun with a teenager, then it was only fair that she could too.
"Good to know, Tasos," she said with a small smile.
He led her down a small flight of stairs. For being below ground it was very well lit. She couldn't help but gasp when she saw the beautiful wooded room. It was filled with lovely plants, many of which she'd never seen before. It was also filled with a variety of handcrafted goods, all with unique designs. Jan also noticed that were a variety of clothes there, including many old-style tunic and dresses running the gamut from peasant clothes to nobility.
"Ah, here we are, Jan. I believe this would be perfect for you," Tasos said suddenly.
