Chapter 25 by Ulap38
What does Tasos have?
A tavern wench dress
Jan let out a surprised laugh when she saw the dress he was holding.
"Tasos! There's no way that would fit right! I mean.." she indicated her impressive bosom. "I would practically be busting out!"
He chuckled merrily. "That is the point, dear Jan. The barmaid dress is a classic exemplar of showcasing the glory of the feminine form."
"Don't let him fool you, hon! He's just trying to get into your knickers!" The voice was playful rather than admonishing.
"Last I checked you didn't complain when I got in yours, Serena!" Tasos called back in an equally playful tone.
Jan turned to see a four foot, lithe woman standing behind her. She had long, pointed ears, green hair, and was wearing a dress that seemed like it was made of leaves. What was most striking was the pair of butterfly-like wings that emerged from her back. Another thing that made her standout to Jan was she was the oldest-seeming of the mythfolk she'd met so far, looking like an attractive woman in her late forties. Jan also couldn't help but note that for her small size, she had a rather pert bust in her own right.
"Fair enough, Tasos." She greeted Jan with a smile. "Hello, my name's Serena."
"I'm Jan. Your store is absolutely beautiful."
Serena beamed with pride. "Thank you very much. She's my pride and joy."
"Serena was one of the original mythfolk to make the journey here," Tasos explained. "She was a part of the talks that set up permanent relations between us and humans."
"Oh? That must have been quite exciting," Jan said, looking at the older woman with greater respect.
"It was, though it took some time to get humans treat me seriously as a negotiator. Faeries aren't the most awe-inspiring race. So many misconceptions, but you didn't come in here to hear me rattle on about human-mythfolk politics," Serena said graciously. She looked over at Tasos with a raised eyebrow before looking back at Jan. "Much as I adore that little lothario, satyrs can be a sneaky bunch. You know what you're getting into?"
"Hey! I've been nothing but forthright with Jan," Tasos protested.
Jan chuckled. "He has, though I was planning to seduce him if he didn't try anything."
Tasos looked at Jan a little surprised as Serena laughed. "Good to know. Just be careful. Last time I let my libido do the talking with Tasos here I ended up with a baby girl."
"How is Willow by the way?" Tasos asked casually as Jan processed what Serena just said.
"Wonderfully. She likes to flit around everywhere as all children do. She's looking forward to your next visit," Serena answered.
"Good, I miss her."
"You're a father?" Jan asked, surprised. He looked so young.
"It wasn't intentional, but we satyrs are a potent breed. I wouldn't trade Willow for anything though," he said proudly.
"He's not kidding. I thought for sure I wasn't fertile, but one shot one go, my little angel was made," Serena said with a fond chuckle.
Satyrs could get women even when they weren't supposed to be fertile?
How does Jan react to this?
