Chloe has found the cave

It was just past five o’clock and Chloe was sitting on a log right before the cave's entrance, munching on the last sandwich left in the food basket she was carrying. After she left that jerk Kurt, the redhead thought it was probably best if she found the cave, if anything to wait for Gavin. However, since Kurt tricked him to have his phone, Gavin was probably wandering around aimlessly without a GPS and Chloe began to get worried for him. It's been two hours already, she thought. Maybe I should try to go back to the cabin.

Thinking about Gavin and Kurt also made her remember just why the older guy did what he did to get Gavin's phone. He wanted to seduce Chloe, and almost succeeded by showering her with compliments and coming up with that photoshoot bullshit. Sure, she could admit it was good to hear someone telling her she was beautiful and sexy and going to all that trouble just for her, but Chloe cursed herself for almost falling for it just the same. Because it wasn't real, she told herself, even if she fantasized daily about sex, a quick romp in the woods with a guy who would dump her a second later wasn't how she envisioned her sex life starting. I want to have a nice, caring and stable relationship like Ashley and Brandon have, is that too much too ask?

Her silent question went unanswered aside from some distant rustling sounds amongst the trees, branches and leaves. At first, Chloe paid no mind to it and continued eating her sandwich, but as the sounds got louder, so did her awareness. She shoved the half-eaten sandwich into the basket and ran to hide in the darkness of the cave. Please don't be a bear, please don't be a bear! she mentally chanted while peeking outside.
