Michael, a mysterious black man

Chloe caught a glimpse of a figure much larger than she in the bushes and she gave out a yelp. "I see you, get out of here!" the redhead announced but her voice quivered. Then she heard a man's voice as she could see him approach with his hands up in front of him.

"Don' scream..." he told her, but like an instruction instead of a request. Chloe emitted a gasp when a somewhat disshevled black man emerged from the woods, a big strong-looking man in his 30s wearing a cheap grey sweater and sweatpants. "You gonna help me, okay little girl?" he told her, again in the form of command than request. Chloe took a step back.

"You don't look like you're from around here," Chloe observed apprehensively. "Who are you, what are you doing here?"

"My name is Michael," he told her in an urban accent. "I got kidnapped by some racist white people."

"Oh, that's terrible!" she replied. "I feel terrible that happened to you! My name is Chloe McRose, some friends and I are staying up here, I know one of the local rangers, she can help you..."

"Can't go to the authorities, Chloe," Michael explained as he looked her up and down. "They work with the racists, think I did something wrong. I need you to hide me, maybe get me a vehicle so I can get back to my people. Can I trust your friends?"

"Yes," Chloe said without really thinking about it. "We're just high school kids up for one last party before graduation. We're all white people but I don't think any of us are racist like the authorities. I could bring you back to the cabin now but I'm kind of waiting for one of my friends, he went looking for his phone but I think he's lost."
