Wait out the storm

You look at the abandoned building with some dismay, but feel relief that you are off the highway.

"I guess we'll wait out the storm," you say, shrugging at Jack. "I can't drive with the wipers acting like that. I don't suppose you know anything about fixing them?"

"Not a thing. What I don't know about cars could fill an encyclopedia," he answers with a grin. He looks at the house, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"We might be able to get in the house. There's a chimney, they probably have a fireplace. We could maybe build a fire, be a little more comfortable. What do you think?"
