Find a place to get off the highway.

You crawl along the side of the highway a only a few miles an hour, hoping for a place to turn off. A few cars pass you with a hiss of sprayed water, some of them so close that your car rocks. A few of them honk their irritation at your presence.

"I think I see a turn off just ahead," Jack says, peering through the water streaming down the windshield. "It looks like a farm road or something. At least it will get us off the highway."

You nod acknowledgement, trying to see the road he's talking about. You're almost on it before you can make it out. It's a gravel road heading through an open gate. You can dimly see the dark shapes of buildings a hundred yards or so away. With a sigh of relief, you turn onto the road. At least you're not in danger of getting hit by someone on the highway any more, and maybe you can get help at the farm up ahead. At the very least you can wait out the rainstorm.

Slowly, you drive up to the buildings. Even through the pouring rain you can see that you're not going to find any help here. The larger building is a dilapidated barn, the smaller a derelict farm house. The house has it's windows and doors boarded up, looking like no one has lived there for years.
