Break camp and explore

Eva knew she wasn't at a familiar place and if this was a strange practical joke by some inane idiot then that someone could be around and might find it amusing to take stuff she left behind. Better to pack everything up carefully and she certainly would be holding something hardy at her belt.
Eva looked around carefully around and chose to look for a high ground after walking around the pond. It looked liked circumference of pond was about 3kms and it would be easy enough to navigate around. Terrain certainly was different than what she had seen on night before so finding landmarks she would recognize would be certainly important. She set out walking thinking about the situation.
It was about an hour later when Eva thought about an obvious thing. She stopped moving, took her backpack off and took her mobile phone from watertight pouch, put it on and noticed there was no signal and GPS apparently was not working either. Worth a shot anyway she thought and put her phone into watertight pouch and then back into backpack.
A little later Eva found the place she had camped on and now had better idea about the local area. She had seen a promising hill few kilometers out and there was an interesting stone structure (almost like a tower, but looked like it was natural) on the opposite direction. She would have to do some scrambling to get to the hill, but from there she'd be able to see everything. The stone structure... it was strange looking and she might as well study it now that she was here and she wasn't really that worried about finding her way back - yet.
