A quick look around the cabin before lunch

Back at the master room, Heather regretted the harsh words she said to her best friend right as they left her mouth, she knew Ashley meant well, but the cheerleader captain was so angry that she just couldn’t help it. ”I might as well lock the door before I get more people hurt.”

The brunette leaned against the door after locking it, letting out a long huff. She replayed the ride back from the lookout point in her mind, Zack hadn’t exactly told her he was choosing Victoria over her, but he didn’t need to, she knew that guilty look on his face.

With her head a bit clearer, she started wondering if her father wasn’t right, that is, if it was better that she just forgot about Zack in a romantic sense before she ruined his chances with Vicky for real. Heather sighed, sometimes her competitive tendencies proved to be really difficult to tame.

And Zack was the first guy who saw her as girlfriend material, as opposed to the horny jerks who only wanted her for quick, meaningless sex.

Another long sigh later, the busty brunette decided to take a quick shower before the BBQ, she still had a few traces of Zack’s semen drying up on her face and chest.

Across the cabin, the duo comprised of Chloe and Taylor left the former’s bedroom, where they were talking about Chloe’s new relationship with Gavin, only to find Ashley and Peter in the middle of a cheerful chat, the little blonde laughing at something the older guy had told her.

Taylor raised an eyebrow in surprise at the scene before them, despite the fact of Peter having dated Hannah, she had no idea her best male friend was so close to his ex-girlfriend’s younger sister like that.

“Hey, Tay,” Peter said once he caught sight of her. “I didn’t find more charcoal, only that half-bag we found earlier.”

The tall brunette frowned. “Well, we might run out of it if Zack didn’t buy an extra one.” She replied.

As if on cue, Zachary Bishop himself came out of his room with Kurt by his side. After they exchanged greetings amidst the six of them and Zack assured everyone he had brought enough charcoal and meat for the BBQ, Kurt looked at Peter and Taylor.

“Hey, guys, if you don’t mind me asking,” He crossed his arms with an inquisitive look on his face. “What’s the deal with Kendra and Shawn?”

Taylor and Peter looked at each other briefly. “They dated in high school, then Shawn dumped her,” The latter answered. “But I think she never got over it, though.”

“Yeah, but now Shawn takes advantage of that devotion to use her however he sees fit,” Taylor added, recalling her own experience with the older Lewis brother the previous night. “Don’t get me wrong, I’ll never forgive her for what she did to Zack last night, but she’s a nice girl. If only she saw that Shawn doesn’t give a damn about her.”

“Hmm.” Kurt’s face turned into an expression of deep thought with the new info, the wheels already turning in his head.

“So,” Ashley cheerfully said, trying to lighten the mood. “Shall we go outside and help Gavin and Brandon with the grill and the table?”

As he noticed everyone beginning to leave the cabin from the corner of his vision, Brandon turned his brown eyes back to Vicky and Dustin down by the beach, his thoughts about the blonde quickly spiraling out of his control.

At first, he decided to hold himself back in because of Zack and Dustin, but the more he thought about Victoria, the more he decided his two friends didn’t have any claim whatsoever on the sweet reverend’s daughter.

”If Zack can score with Heather, he won’t be thinking about Vicky,” The football player reasoned. ”And Dustin must be really full of himself if he thinks he can come back after eight months and expect her to be patiently waiting for him.”

Brandon smirked as he flipped a burger, maybe his chances weren’t so nonexistent after all.
