It's Peter, looking for Taylor

She really wanted to go straight to the bathroom, but figuring it would be very rude to leave the door unanswered, Ashley swallowed her tears and walked over to it. Swinging the door open, the blue-eyed blonde was mildly surprised to see who was at the other side.

“Peter?”

Her older sister’s ex-boyfriend smiled down at her. “Hey, Ashley! Long time no see, huh?” He greeted before moving to hug her.

Ashley snapped out of her funk and returned the brief hug, feeling like a fool. Of course that Peter would be there with Hannah and Taylor, he was very good friends with both of them despite the break-up with her sister.

She gave him a small smile. “Yeah, I think I haven’t seen you in more than a year,” She stepped aside to let him enter the cabin. “How have you been?”

“Great, how about you?” Peter replied.

Ashley frowned. “Not so good, I guess,” She answered, looking down for a couple seconds. “Broke up with my boyfriend last night, hence why I didn’t go to your party.”

“Oh, sorry to know that,” Peter was slightly taken aback, he could say he was sorry for her boyfriend too. ”Brandon, if I remember well.” He must be pretty devastated as well if their break-up was anything like his own with Hannah.

“It’s okay, so, you’re here to help with lunch?” Ashley inquired.

Peter smiled. “That too, but I was looking for Taylor as well, I stayed behind to search for some stuff at our cabin and didn’t find it,” He explained. “She got bored and came ahead of me.”

“Well, I haven’t seen her,” Ashley informed him. “But then again, I was with Heather in the master room.”

“Yeah, and from what I can see, she’s nowhere in sight,” Peter pointed out, looking at the outdoor deck and seeing only Brandon there working the grill. “Uhn, can I wait here?”

Ashley smiled at his politeness. “Sure, let’s sit.” She led him to the couches on the living room.

To say Peter was secretly surprised at seeing how Ashley had grown it would probably be a major understatement. Gone was the sweet 15-year old kid from the time he dated her older sister and in her place stood a beautiful young woman, whose looks were quickly starting to resemble Hannah at an alarming rate.

“Look, Ashley, I don’t wanna keep you from your stuff,” He said, trying to banish those thoughts from his head. “You don’t need to keep me company or something.”

The little blonde grinned, Peter had always been so nice to her when he was dating Hannah. ”I’ve never really understood why Hannah broke up with such a nice guy as him,” She thought. ”But then again, I broke up with one too.”

In the end, she just sat down beside him. “Nonsense, Peter, and besides, it has been so much time since we last had a chat,” She said in a pleasant tone. “I’d like to catch up a bit if you don’t mind.”

Peter nodded in resigned acceptance. “Ok, then,” He said with a small smile. “What’d you like to talk about?”
