Day 14/21 (Multi POV)

Chapter 257 by Icequeen52 Icequeen52

Mia POV

Mia trudged through the snow covered forest with Elsa at her side.

It was the day after they’d resolved the conflict between Mia, Paige, Skylar and Belle.

Mia was grateful they had the others to help moderate things. She wasn’t sure she would have been able to solve it so easily on her own.

That morning, she’d asked to be allowed to go for a walk with Elsa before they resumed their progress in Gemma’s raid.

She wasn’t sure why Gemma liked Dark Souls so much, especially since she was sure the next segment of the raid would be unpleasant.

It was at least nice to take a walk through some beautiful scenery with a beautiful person, before subjecting herself to that.

Mia looked at Elsa, and took a deep breath. She was really nervous with what she was about to do, but she knew she had to do it.

“So, Elsa…” She began.

Elsa looked at her, perking up slightly.

“.…..” Mia wasn’t entirely sure how to say it, but she tried her best anyway. “The others didn’t seem surprised when I said I had a crush on you.” She started.

A small smile made its way onto Elsa’s face. “I was surprised though.” The shorter girl replied.

“Surprised I have a crush on you, or surprised I said so in front of everybody?” Mia asked.

“Both.” Elsa said, the happiness clear in her voice, even in the one word.

“I mean, wasn’t it obvious?” Mia asked, chuckling softly.

“A little.” Elsa said. “But it’s still really nice to hear it anyway.”

“I’ll say it again then: I have a crush on you Elsa.” Mia said.

“I have a crush on you too Mia.” The peaceful woman said, the smile on her face broadening.

“I still have to talk the others about what we should do before anything.” Mia said.

“Why?” Elsa asked, curious.

“Technically it’s a rule that we aren’t supposed to be dating anybody outside our polycule.” Mia answered. “I don’t think that will last much longer. It made more sense when we were a smaller group.”

Elsa nodded in understanding. “That’s okay, I get it.” There wasn’t a hint of sadness in her voice. She understood, and she was willing to wait.

“You don’t have feelings for Gemma, do you?” Mia asked.

Elsa took her time to think over that question. “Not like you. I think she’s great and really pretty. I haven’t spent much time with her though.” Elsa admitted.

Mia nodded. “That’s okay, I’m sure she’d understand. I’ll talk to everybody about it more seriously and see what they say.” She said.

Elsa nodded happily. “I want to be with you.” She said earnestly.

Mia mirrored the broad smile on Elsa’s face. “I wanna be with you too.” She said.

“I think we should wait until all of this is over.” Elsa continued.

Mia threw a questioning look at the Fateweaver.

“Keeping up this time dilation is straining me.” Elsa explained. “That potion I drank before helped, but I can feel myself getting more tired.”

Mia was immediately filled with concern for the poor girl. “That can’t be easy, stressing yourself like that. Are you okay?” She asked.

“I’m okay, don’t worry.” Elsa replied peacefully. “I’m just going to need some recovery time after all this is done.” She said.

“Are you sure? We can sit down, we don’t have to be walking like this.” Mia offered.

Elsa laughed softly, an adorable and serene sound. “I’m fine, I promise. It’s magical, not physical.” She said.

Mia sighed. “Fine. Just please let me know if there’s anything I can do.” She said.

Elsa nodded again. “I will.”

“So you want to wait until you’re fully recovered to be together?” Mia asked for confirmation. She hoped Elsa’s recovery wouldn’t take too long. In the back of her mind, she worried about how badly the overuse of her magic would affect Elsa.

“Yes, I think that will be best. You have time to talk about it with the others, and we can enjoy ourselves together without worrying about Mathias or anything else.” She answered.

“I guess that’s just extra motivation for me to make sure we win huh?” Mia asked.

“Yep.” Elsa said. “I know you will. I know you’ll come back to me.”

Mia lent down and kissed the beautiful girl on the forehead, and a rare hint of colour made it’s way onto Elsa’s cheeks.

“Count on it.” She promised, smiling at her adorable companion.

Elsa smiled back, the utmost of faith in Mia’s ability plain on her face.

Emma POV

In the time after lunch, Emma was enjoying a nice break with Lena from their training.

As previously promised, Olivia had been trying to teach her the buff spell that she’d learnt from that spellbook. It was hard going, but Emma liked to think she was getting a grasp on it. Slowly.

Emma and Lena were relaxing on the couch while the others went out and continued to go through the new part of Gemma’s raid.

Apparently the segment was called Blighttown or something? From the way they’d described it, both in the words and the way they said them, it was not a pleasant affair.

Emma was glad to not have to deal with it. Various poisonous enemies and a toxic bog sounded horrible to have to deal with, even without the various tiny wooden platforms they’d described.

The Sapphic Knight instead enjoyed the much more pleasant experience of cuddling with her girlfriend while they watched a show they both liked.

Lena looked around, seeming to check if there was anybody around them in the castle. Seeing nobody, she looked up to Emma.

“Hey Em?” She asked.

“Yeah babe?” Emma replied.

“What do you think of Gemma?” Lena asked her.

Emma paused the show they were watching to turn her full focus to the question her girlfriend had asked. “That’s a bit of a loaded question.” She accused, knowing that Lena already had an opinion.

Lena shrugged. “Just answer.” She prodded, her signature adorable toothy grin plastered across her face.

So Emma thought about the question. But she already knew the answer in her heart.

“I kinda like her.” Emma replied.

Lena grinned triumphantly. “I knew it!”

Emma shook her head. “You like her too, don’t you?” She asked.

Lena nodded. “Yep. Is that weird?” She returned.

“Nah I don’t think so. She’s fierce as hell.” Emma replied.

“But I kinda already have a thing with Mia.” Lena said.

Emma grinned, amused. “Greedy girl.” She joked.

Lena opened her mouth to reply but Emma cut her off.

“Yes yes, I know. Paige and I are close too.” Emma forestalled her girlfriend’s criticism.

“Isn’t that weird though?” Lena asked.

“Why would it be? Those girls are all dating each other, I don’t think any of them really mind the idea.” Emma said.

“Okay.” Lena said, turning to face her. “What do you like about Gemma then? I know you like Paige cause you think she’s adorable, fun to talk to, and you have stuff in common. And I like Mia cause she’s awesome. What about Gemma?”

Emma pondered the question, but she didn’t have to think for long. “Besides the fact that she’s gorgeous and that her aesthetic is sickening-”

“Is that another word from Drag Race?” Lena asked, poking fun at her vocabulary.

Emma rolled her eyes and ignored her. “I like that she knows who she is and what she wants. She overthinks when it comes to others, but she’s sure of herself. It makes her dependable.” Emma said.

Lena grinned. “Couldn’t say it better myself.” She agreed.

Emma raised an eyebrow at her girlfriend. “No, you couldn’t have.” She said.

“Hey!” Lena said, and the two of them laughed.

“That’s not really enough for a relationship though.” Emma continued.

Lena nodded in agreement. “What do we do then?” She asked.

“I guess we’ll have to try to spend some time with her alone. Talk to her seriously about things, and see what happens.” Emma answered.

“Shotgun not asking.” Lena said.

Emma shook her head. “Oh you. Fine, I’ll ask her. Maybe after she and the others are done training today?” She asked.

Lena nodded. “Yay! This is gonna be fun.” She said.

Emma smiled at her. “We should get back to training soon too.” She reminded Lena.

The water mage immediately threw her hands in the air and groaned. “But it’s so much workkkkk! Why are you so meannnn?” She asked dramatically.

“I’m not mean, this is being productive. If we want to help them fight, we need to be ready. That means training.” Emma replied, forever amused at her girlfriend’s antics.

“Awww! 5 more minutes?” Lena pleaded, using puppydog eyes to reinforce her point, which just wasn’t fair.

Emma sighed dramatically. “Fine dear, 5 more minutes.” She relented.

“Yay!” Lena exclaimed, immediately wrapping her arms around Emma and clinging onto her.

Emma giggled and kissed the top of her girlfriend’s head affectionately. She really did love this woman.
