What you will do now?
Defeat the beedrills
Marcy coughs loudly, and her body shivers.
The poison must be taking its toll, and her body is clearly struggling to resist it.
The Beedrill attacks her again.
The moment the Beedrill thrusts her spear arm toward Marcy, she reacts.
Marcy quickly brings her hammer down in a powerful vertical strike, hitting the spear arm directly.
The force of the blow is enough to break the spear in two.
The pointed tip flies away as the Beedrill screams in pain.
"Never heard that it's dangerous to use poison on a Machop lass?" Marcy says with a grin.
She follows up with another powerful hammer strike aimed at the Beedrill's side.
The Beedrill blocks it with her remaining spear arm—or at least tries to.
The impact is so powerful that she is sent flying several meters away.
The Beedrill crashes to the ground, heavily injured, but somehow forces herself back onto her feet.
She immediately lunges toward Marcy again, her remaining spear arm aimed directly at her.
But Marcy drops her hammer.
She instead assumes a fighting stance and closes her eyes.
The air around her suddenly feels tense.
The Beedrill rushes closer.
"Marcy, watch out!" Charlie screams.
The Beedrill gets close enough to strike.
"Fighting special technique: Focus Punch."
At the last possible moment, Marcy makes an almost imperceptible movement.
Her fist shoots forward.
Her punch slams directly into the Beedrill's stomach with tremendous force.
The impact is powerful enough to crack her carapace and send her crashing violently into the ground.
The enemy musu lies motionless.
"M-Marcy, you were incredible!" Charlie cheers happily.
"T-Thanks, Char..." Marcy says, breathing heavily. "B-But now go help Leaf finish her opponent. I need someone to heal me before this poison melts my insides."
She coughs again, this time spitting a little blood.
"Oh, frick! Yeah, I'm going!" Charlie says before running toward Leaf.
Marcy remains standing for a few seconds before her strength finally gives out.
She drops to her knees, breathing heavily.
After recovering from the attack she barely avoided, Leaf summons several vines from the ground and sends them toward the Beedrill.
The vines wrap around the Beedrill's body.
For a moment, it seems like Leaf has successfully restrained her.
But the Beedrill suddenly flexes her muscles and tears the vines apart.
She immediately charges.
Leaf quickly raises a wall of rock, but the Beedrill quickly pierces through it.
Another wall. The same thing happens.
Leaf keeps retreating, desperately creating more barriers to slow her opponent down.
"Come on...!"
She fires a Gust, knocking the Beedrill slightly off course, then follows with an Ember.
The Beedrill barely reacts.
She quickly recovers and rushes forward again.
Leaf tries to create another wall, but the Beedrill simply changes direction and closes the distance with frightening speed.
Leaf fires another Gust directly at her.
The attack pushes the Beedrill back, but only for a moment.
The Beedrill immediately charges again.
Leaf is forced to keep moving, dodging and casting spells almost constantly.
Her breathing becomes heavier, she is running out of energy.
The Beedrill notices and suddenly accelerates and lunges toward Leaf.
But before she can reach her...
An Ember strikes the Beedrill from the side.
Charlie arrives just in time.
"Leaf, we need your help!" Charlie says.
The Beedrill staggers from the impact.
Leaf's eyes widen as an idea comes to her.
"Whirlpool!" A large vortex of water suddenly forms beneath the Beedrill and rises around her, trapping her inside.
The Beedrill immediately begins struggling against the current, trying to break free.
"We're in a hurry, Charlie! Jump and hit the top of the whirlpool with as much firepower as you can!"
"O-Okay!" Charlie takes a few steps back before leaping high into the air.
As she rises, she gathers as much fire mana as she can.
Instead of releasing a simple Ember, a powerful Flame Burst gets charged in her mouth and she spits it to the beedrill
Then another. And another.
The three blazing projectiles strike the cold water of the whirlpool.
A small steam explosion erupts.
The whirlpool collapses, filling the area with a cloud of hot steam.
When it clears, the Beedrill is lying motionless on the ground, her body steaming from the sudden change in temperature.
"Phew... I hope she won't get up for a while. What do you nee—"
Leaf turns toward Charlie.
"Marcy got poisoned! Come quickly!" Charlie screams, panic clear in her voice.
"Shit, I'm coming!"
The two of them hurry toward Marcy.
Amber is getting increasingly tired.
Every time she teleports away from an attack, the Beedrill seems to get closer to catching her.
No matter how many Confusion attacks hit her opponent, the Beedrill refuses to stop.
"Her mind isn't even flinching from these attacks... I guess I'll have to use the rest of the energy I have." Amber thinks
After avoiding several more strikes, Amber suddenly teleports high into the sky.
The Beedrill immediately follows her.
Just before the Beedrill can reach her, Amber teleports back to the ground, appearing between two trees.
She raises her hands and takes aim.
The Beedrill mindlessly follows her, determined to take her life.
But before she can get close enough to strike—
"Psybeam..." Amber whispers.
A powerful ray of psychic energy shoots from her hands.
It strikes the Beedrill directly.
The already injured Beedrill suddenly stiffens.
The enormous amount of psychic energy overwhelms her mind.
Her body goes limp.
She crashes to the ground, unconscious.
"Finally..." Amber mutters, completely exhausted. "Hope... that's enough."
She sits down against a tree.
To rest after the battke, she does what Abra do best: sleep.
Sig is finding herself in an increasingly difficult position against the Beedrill.
The musu is now even faster than before, forcing Sig to focus entirely on defending her long, serpentine body.
Every time Sig tries to attack, the Beedrill immediately counters with another thrust.
Sig blocks one strike with her katana.
Another comes from the opposite side.
She twists her body aside and deflects it.
A third strike follows immediately.
Sig slithers backward, barely avoiding the spear.
"You're getting faster..." Sig mutters.
The Beedrill responds with another flurry of lunges.
Sig blocks one, dodges another and then parries a third, but the impact forces her several steps backward.
She can feel her strength beginning to fade.
"I can't keep this up much longer." she mutters.
Feeling the fatigue accumulate, Sig decides to risk everything on one final move.
She charges toward the Beedrill.
The Beedrill does the same.
The two opponents rush toward each other.
Before their weapons can cross, Sig opens her mouth.
"Dragon Breath!" A blast of draconic energy erupts from her mouth and strikes the Beedrill directly.
The attack this time doesn't paralyze the beedrill. She is still able to keep charging.
However, the effect of the Dragon Breath has slowed her down just enough.
Sig barely avoids the incoming spear.
The Beedrill passes beside her.
That's the opening Sig needs.
"Blackthorn Sword Style, Second Technique: Dragon Claw!"
Her katana becomes engulfed in draconic energy.
Sig twists her body and unleashes a powerful slash.
The blade tears through the Beedrill's external carapace and sends her crashing backward.
The Beedrill hits the ground and doesn't get back up.
"Again... please do not get up..." Sig pants as she lowers her katana. "This fight is over."
Finally, the battle outside the hive comes to an end.
All of the Beedrills lie unconscious on the ground.
Leaf kneels beside Marcy, desperately working to purge the poison from her body while Charlie anxiously watches.
Sig catches her breath.
Amber remains asleep against a tree.
Everyone is exhausted.
For a brief moment, there is silence.
Then... One of the walls of the hive suddenly explodes outward.
Everyone turns toward the noise.
A cloud of dust and debris fills the air.
Something moves behind the dust...
