What will the Bravos do with Gruul?
Fuu Steps In
Fuu didn’t understand what was happening. Gruul had obviously not kidnapped her friends because they were here fighting alongside him. She was going to avoid thinking about her own reaction to that particular fantasy for as long as she could, but things were still too confusing. They started as allies but now Liv was threatening him.
Liv voice was practically dripping with malice “What the fuck was that Gruul? We were here to save Fuu not to watch you rape her!”
Fuu blushed slightly. Of course they had watched the mating ritual. They attacked as soon as an opportunity presented itself. Which meant they saw her fuck herself on Gruul’s cock and beg him to breed her. Gruul didn’t respond to the question, but also didn’t look afraid.
Becky tried to mediate. “Liv, I’m sure he had a good rea-“
Liv whipped her head to Becky and snarled, gun not moving a single inch from its aim. “A ‘good reason’! His reason was he wanted to fuck her! He could have easily grabbed her and run off!”
Now Gruul spoke up. “I thought about it.” Liv’s attention switched back to him and he… relaxed? “But I was there as the front line fighter. If I ran off, it could give the opportunity for a Gnoll to go wide while chasing me and run into Emmaline and Becky.”
His calm, almost apologetic voice did nothing but stoke Liv’s anger. “A convenient excuse from the rapist. The only thing difference between you and these fuckers are your pretty white fur and that you are still fucking breathing!” The ‘for now’ was heavily implied.
Fuu stared at the pair. She didn’t see any hesitation in Liv. She would definitely pull the trigger if she had to, but she was still talking to him. If Liv wanted him dead, she could have easily waited in the tree. She doesn’t want to shoot him. Fuu saw Liv’s eyes shift to her for a moment but her gun never wavered.
Gruul stared only at Liv, barely moving at all with a peaceful look on his face. Fuu thought she understood. Gruul had been a man with a mission. A mission that he had completed with the destruction of the tribe. Now, what did he have?
Based on the conversation Fuu had been privy to, he had no wife nor children. His mother had banished him and the only other connections he had likely lay dead around them right now. He was a man with nothing to live for.
“Are you going to leave me a widow already, Husband?” Fuu’s voice was calm, almost clinical as she started walking toward him. Fuu wasn’t willing to see him walk calmly to his death. She respected him, as a warrior and as a person. He had helped rescue her and the other prisoners, even if that wasn’t his real goal. He had respected her as much as he could during their coupling and his reasoning for the coupling seemed sound.
“Husband?” The Bravos asked with various tones. Liv sounded horrified, Becky sounded confused, and Emmaline sounded excited.
Gruul actually looked worried, completely disregarding Liv’s rifle as he turned to Fuu. “Hu-husband? You have to know that ritual was a farce, right?”
Fuu shook her head. “Be that as it may, an oath is still an oath.”
Gruul and Liv reacted in simultaneous shock. “You can’t be serious!”
Becky looked concerned but Liv sauntered forward. “Gruul how dare you take advantage of an innocent young woman with your talk of marriage and then don’t follow through!” She looked every bit the scandalized noblewoman, save for her massive grin.
Gruul’s mouth moved uselessly for a moment in obvious panic before stepping forward to address Fuu. “You were forced to agree to the ritual due to your existing oath to that corrupt thing.” He snarled in the direction of the Shaman’s corpse. “You are not beholden to it anymore!”
Fuu stared at him impassively. So he knew about her oath to the Shaman. Perhaps he had overheard. Or maybe the other Bravos explained it when they recruited him. He seemed passionate about ending their perceived oath. Perhaps his mate still lived. Fuu knew that his child had been stillborn but the mother’s fate was unknown. “I told you I understood before it started and I did. It is why I asked them to repeat it with my name. I thought you understood that.”
Gruul’s fur bristled as he shook his head. “Yes, I did but-“
Fuu lifted a hand to stop him and he surprisingly complied. “Then we have a starting point. We can discuss this later. We must decide what to do about the prisoners.”
Liv finally dropped her aim to stare at her leader. “‘We’? ‘Later’? Fuu you can’t be serious. He raped you and your just going to bring him along to have a friendly chat!”
Emmaline laughed melodiously. “She must have really enjoyed that cock.”
Fuu was only slightly red when she replied. “We have dealt with the threat and now must focus on how to get the prisoners home. I doubt the Gnolls were the only threat in the forest.” She looked to Gruul who had closed his eyes and calmed himself while the Bravos spoke. “Correct, Gruul?”
He didn’t open his eyes as he spoke. “I can think of a few. The light is fading fast. You could move them to your camp or perhaps secure the cave and organize the party to leave in the morning.”
Liv scoffed and pointed at Gruul as she addressed her leader. “That’s not the real problem. What do we do when the prisoners see another fucking Gnoll with us? Do we say ‘oh trust us this naked Gnoll is different because we say so’?
Gruul nodded before opening his eyes and looking at Fuu. Instead of offering a suggestion, he simply raised an eyebrow at her.
Fuu sighed. What were they going to do?
