Chapter 121 by Duskford Duskford

Is there someone else waking up at that moment too?

The morning after, with Heather, Victoria, Ashley and Hannah

Back at Ravers’ Cabin, Heather had also been an early riser and was returning to the master bedroom after checking their part of the supplies for the BBQ. Unfortunately, someone would have to go back to town to get more bags of charcoal and half of the meat. The busty brunette figured out that she might as well be the one to do it. ”Now to find a driver,” She thought as she opened the door to the room. ”Or I can just ask Kurt to borrow me his car.”

Inside the bedroom, Hannah was sitting against the headboard reading something on her phone while Ashley was still sound asleep by her side and Victoria was nowhere to be seen. Judging by the sounds coming from the bathroom, Heather had a hunch that the green-eyed blonde was there.

“Something interesting?” She asked, nodding to Hannah’s phone with her head.

“Nope, quite the opposite actually,” The older blonde replied, frowning. “I was reading a text Taylor sent me last night. Apparently, Victoria caught Zachary kissing Kendra and made a scene.”

Heather raised an eyebrow, trying to not to feel hurt until she knew the whole story. “That’s weird,” She said. “Zack wouldn’t kiss Kendra, they haven’t even talked to each other last night.”

Hannah nodded. “And besides, Kendra is totally, head over heels in love with Shawn,” She added. “She wouldn’t kiss Zack and risk ruining her chances of getting back together with him.”

“He was the one who jumped her and kissed her by ****.” Victoria’s emotionless voice came from the bathroom’s doorway. She entered the bedroom, wearing a long white nightshirt.

“It seems too weird,” Hannah dismissed Victoria’s claim. “There’s probably more to this story.”

“There’s not, I saw them doing it and Kendra confirmed to me that he initiated it,” Victoria told the other blonde before turning to Heather. “Face it, Heather, he doesn’t care about either of us,” She said with venom dripping from her voice. “He’s just a jerk looking for easy sex with all of us.”

Heather stared into her friend’s eyes for a few seconds with an unreadable look on her face. “So, let me get this straight, Vicky,” She began. “You heard Kendra’s side but didn’t even let Zack give you his take?”

Victoria was taken aback by the other girl’s question, but she didn’t lose her step. “There was nothing to hear, Heather, I saw them!”

“So?” Heather shrugged. “You can’t take everything at face value!”

A look of anger came over Victoria’s face. “I can’t believe you!” She exclaimed in exasperation. “You’re defending him?!”

At that moment, Ashley stirred beside Hannah. “What’s happening?” She asked drowsily. “Why is everyone shouting?”

“Shhh…” Hannah replied in a hushed tone. “We’re witnessing history being written before our very eyes, sis.”

“Another thing, so what if Zack kissed Kendra, huh?” Heather pressed. “He doesn’t owe a thing to either of us, ‘cause last time I checked he wasn’t your boyfriend for you to get all mad like this!”

Victoria stared at her friend with a gaped mouth, speechless and unable to believe what she was hearing.

But Heather wasn’t done, she was letting out all the frustration she felt at her friend for hogging all of Zack’s attention. “If you really liked him, you would’ve given him a chance to explain himself and believe his word over the one of a crazy slut!” She continued, stepping towards Victoria. “I think you just like the idea of being with Zack ‘cause he’s a good guy, a change after all the douchebags you’ve dated after Dustin. At this rate, I’m starting to think we’ll have to hide Brandon, Gavin and Kurt from you.”

Victoria began crying in the middle of Heather’s speech, and by the time she was finished, the blonde spluttered and cried even harder. “Fuck you, Heather!” She bellowed. “I hate you!”

The brunette cheerleader watched as Victoria stormed from the room, slamming the door after her. She then collapsed on the bed, sitting with her head slumped. Ashley and Hannah came on either side of her and touched her shoulders. Heather gave a faint smile to them.

“Don’t worry,” Ashley tried to reassure her. “Everything’s going to work out in the end.”

“For the record, I think you were right on everything you’ve said, Heather. Victoria needs to grow up a little bit,” Hannah said before she got out of the bed and began putting on her tennis shoes. “I need to go back now, though, to help sort out things on our end for later.”

Heather and Ashley nodded as Hannah waved to them. “Bye.” The two friends said in unison.

“See you two later.” Hannah replied and then left the room.

What happens now? Do we follow someone?
