Chapter 120 by Duskford Duskford

Their 5th day at Silver Lake ended. What kinds of surprises await them at the 6th day of their trip?

The morning after, with Zack and Taylor

When Zack woke up that Saturday morning, it took a while for his brain to register the sights his eyes were sending to it. The room he was in didn’t seem to be none of the ones at Ravers’ Cabin, a fact that made him frown. By now his blue eyes were fully opened and the events of the previous night came back to him.

All the pain he felt when Victoria called him a jerk after Kendra’s deception rushed back with full ****. He remembered now that Taylor had brought him to her room to spend the night due to what had happened, afraid that if he went back to Ravers’ Cabin immediately, it would create conflict with Victoria.

Speaking of his sister, Zack turned around and found Taylor sitting on the bed beside him with the covers up to her neck. She was awake as her blue eyes fixed in his frowning ones. “I thought you’d sleep at Hannah’s room?”

“Decided to be here instead,” She replied with a faint smile. “You know, to keep an eye on you.”

“Thanks,” Zack returned her smile. “But you didn’t have to, that pill you gave me really worked.”

“I’m glad, how do you feel?” Taylor asked.

“Well, I don’t know yet,” Her brother replied. “Everything’s so fresh and new on my mind, I think I’ll only know for sure when I see her.”

“Yeah, about that, Zack,” Taylor began and paused, she had debated for several minutes before her brother woke up if she should tell him what she had learned the previous night. In the end, the blue-eyed brunette decided that she wouldn’t be a really good sister if she kept him in the dark about something so important. “Shawn was the one who told Kendra to kiss you when Victoria found you two and then lie to her about who had started it.”

Zack raised his eyebrows and then frowned, an expression of anger slowly coming over his face. “Then I need to talk to him!” He exclaimed. “To tell him to explain everything to Vicky!”

Taylor shook her head with a somber look. “Don’t, Zack,” she advised him. “The only thing you’re going to achieve by that is getting aggravated by Shawn, I know how he works when he wants something, believe me.”

The younger Bishop’s shoulders slumped. “But what the hell I’m supposed to do, then?” He asked in a **** voice. “What does he want, anyway?”

“He wants Victoria for himself,” Taylor answered, gazing at her brother and trying to gauge his reaction. “The only hope you have is Victoria resisting to him, but I stand by my opinion, I think you should let her go, Zachary.”

Zack actually half-smiled. “Heather again?”

Taylor nodded. “Yeah, but as I said to you yesterday, you should forget for a while about serious girlfriends, at least while all of you are here,” She said. “Then, when you go back to Azure Rocks with a clearer head after the break, you’ll probably see that she’s the best for you.”

“I think I’m just gonna leave thing in fate’s hands like you’ve told me to,” Zack smiled at his big sister and jumped out of bed. “Now, I should get back there.” He said, looking at Ravers’ Cabin through the window.

Taylor yawned. “I’m gonna stay in bed for a little while longer, then I’ll take a shower,” She told him as Zack tied up his shoelaces. “There’s that BBQ today.”

“Yeah, let’s see if I can test your theory of having more fun,” He said, looking fondly at his sister. “See you there, then.”

Taylor smiled and waved at him, looking like she would fall asleep any moment now. Zack shook his head in amusement and left the room. He just hoped he wouldn’t have to face a thunderstorm when he got back at Heather’s cabin.

Is there someone else waking up at that moment too?
