It's A Small Parallel World

"Wow this place is so beautiful! It really is magical!"

"You're a lot more impressed than my girlfriend was" Rosa told Dani with a wry smile.

"Please be very careful though. This place might look serene, but it can be pretty dangerous"

It felt highly inappropriate for Rosa to be strolling around with a beautiful, naked young woman by her side while her girlfriend was in peril. However, Rosa had ****. It was a necessary evil she had to partake in to get her lover back. Not that she wasn't quietly and guiltily enjoying the view.

"So do you know where we are going?" the witch asked eagerly.

"I do" the naked mortal confirmed "The tracking spell is simple enough to follow. I don't actually think your partner is all that far away"

"That makes sense, this isn't the biggest of places"

"If you don't mind me asking, Rosa..." for the first time Dani seemed a little awkward in her demeanour and tone as she tentatively made her enquiry "How powerful are you? I mean compared to other people here. I was just thinking about who we might be up against?"

"There's no we about it, you are keeping at a safe distance and getting yourself out of sight as soon as we locate Holly" Rosa asserted strongly "But, to answer your question, fully powered I would be one of most skilful mages in this world. But I haven't been fully powered for a long while now. As things stand, I'm average at best"

"We can always wait for help if we need it" Dani suggested.

"I'll judge the situation as I see it when we get there. But I'd rather not leave Holly for any longer than I can possibly help. The sooner we are done with this the better"

"Well, it looks like your friends have come to retrieve you, little bird. I sense two of them, only one with magic and considerably less of it than I possess The other a mere mortal. This is good news for you. Once I have dealt with them, I can turn you back into your pretty self and we can become better acquainted"

Holly chirped animatedly but pointlessly in her cage, wondering just how this cloaked stranger intended to "deal with" her girlfriend and whoever was helping her.

"Don't worry little bird, I have no interest in harming anyone. Hopefully they can be made to see reason without me having to resort to any unpleasantness. But If I need to, I will do what is necessary to hold onto what is now mine"

"Okay, she should be in that cabin up ahead" Dani pointed to a small and unremarkable looking wooden hut in the isolated part of this world they had been led to by the tracking spell. It seemed that whoever was in there was someone other magic users preferred to avoid. That wasn't an encouraging sign. But Rosa remained undeterred.

"Okay Dani, don't come any further. Find somewhere close to here to hide and wait there until I get back. If I don't return, call Albi as soon as you can"

"Understood" Dani nodded as she found some bushes to crouch behind.

Rosa couldn't help but feel a little nervous as she approached the cabin. If it wasn't for the stupid fucking curse this would likely be a cinch. But, as it was, she was **** here. No matter though, she knew what she had to do.

Rosa knocked on the door and soon heard footsteps approach before it creaked open to reveal a faceless, cloaked figure, their identity concealed by a spell too strong for Rosa to be able to see through. She started to wonder if maybe she should have waited for backup after all. The mysterious figure was practically radiating with dark magic and was clearly very powerful.

They paused for a moment before they spoke.

"Rosie?"

"Do I know you?" Rosa asked defensively, thrown even more off guard by the fact this person apparently knew who she was.

"Yes, I'd say you do"

The figure removed her hood to reveal another beautiful, flame haired woman who could easily have passed for the witches' twin.

."Mother?" Rosa blurted out in disbelief.
