This is Holly Petersen...

The voice over, provided by Brendan himself, began. A pretty, dark haired woman in her mid twenties stood in front of the camera, dressed in a plain white t-shirt, denim shorts and white socks and sneakers, her hands by her sides and a neutral expression on her face.

Holly is about to strip naked on camera, simply because I am going to tell her to.

"Holly, I want you to completely undress for me, right where you are" a voice in the room told her from behind the camera in a calm and almost sympathetic tone "Do you understand?"

"Yes Master"

Holly knelt down and began untying her trainers. As the voice over resumed, she continued to strip until she was fully nude, her modesty protected only by pixels.

Holly is not an adult actress. or a performer of any kind. She heads up a sales team in the mid-sized North Carolina town where she has spent her whole, otherwise ordinary, life. But there is something truly remarkable about this young woman. Holly is cursed. I activated that curse, simply by being the first person to discover it, and am now her master. My control over Holly is total.

"Holly, lets see you with blonde hair"

As Holly's hair changed colour, the VO again provided accompanying commentary.

No special effects were used to make this documentary. Frankly, I don't have the budget for them. The magic behind Holly's curse can now be wielded on her by me however I please.

"Holly, I would like you to grow bigger breasts"

And perhaps the most remarkable part of this curse? It doesn't just affect Holly, but every female with Petersen blood, no matter how distant a relation they may be. Thousands of women in over a hundred countries, according to my research, just waiting to be claimed by a master of their own.

"Holly, I want you to dance for my viewers"

And so, I now present to you, the full history of this remarkable and very real supernatural phenomenon.

The title Controlling Holly: Discovering The Petersen Curse then flashed up on screen as the documentaries subject danced seductively along to the title music. Brendan was sure that the intro would have his audience hooked from the get go. The rest of the movie was what he had already planned before he knew the curse was real - every day Holly footage, curse backstory and the dramatic video of the claiming. He had now added a postscript ending that hadn't originally been intended. In a final scene, Brendan faced the camera, which slowly panned out to reveal a naked Holly on her knees behind him, massaging his shoulders as he sat on a bed. Instead of addressing the viewers himself, Holly did.

The reaction to the video, once it had been uploaded, was like nothing Brendan had ever seen before. The views, likes and comments quickly came flooding in. Most viewers were convinced that Holly was an actress and the whole thing was bullshit, which didn't really matter as long as they were entertained enough to engage, but others were genuinely intrigued as to whether the curse might be real and full of questions about it. Brendan answered every single one of them as well as he could, further fuelling the fire.

It was the next day that things started to get really interesting. Two separate commenters both claimed to know Holly in real life and attested that she was neither an actress nor someone that could be persuaded to strip on camera for any amount of money, even if she wasn't already earning well in her job. Then someone posted a simple but eye-catching "OH SHIT GUYS IT WORKS! THIS HOT CHICK IN MY OFFICE IS CALLED PETERSEN!". They linked to a video of a beautiful young woman stripping naked then turning into a dog and back in the middle of her workplace, in front of several stunned colleagues. The footage looked incredibly genuine with none of the polish or tell-tale signs of an AI fake. Now the Patreon was exploding as well, particularly the Platinum Tier. People wanted access to that list.

For the first time, despite all the excitement that came with this success, Brendan's conscience began to prick at him a little. Obviously his movie could have a significant negative impact on the lives of any women affected by the curse. The documentary itself, he believed, had a clear right to exist. He was not making anything up, just telling a true story as was his job. But the master list of cursed women, in the cold light of day, was a step too far. Financially it was a goldmine, and of course it raised interest in his film if male viewers were able to go out and effectively find their own Holly after viewing it. But he had to be able to sleep at night. He knew he would never make Holly do anything worse than a few nude videos for paying members, and she would receive a significant cut of the films profits as compensation, but there was no telling how far others might take things with their own claimed girls. He therefore posted a new notice under his video.

Brendan sighed to himself. He realised he was killing a cash cow, but it felt like the right thing to do. He decided to switch off his laptop and leave the inevitable backlash for later. However, when he eventually returned the comments were still coming thick and fast and the community that was forming around his documentary seemed happier than ever. When he looked at the top rated comment, he realised why.

Brendan felt winded. No longer completely blinded by ambition and the lure of fame and fortune, he realised he had started something truly terrible. And now there was nothing he could do to stop it.
