"I'm sorry I brought you here, Hols" Rosa apologised "I hate the idea of you feeling unsafe because of me. But I've never seen people in this place react to a visitor the way they are to you. You're just too hot for your own good"

"I don't understand how the way I look should make any difference"

"It's because to people here you're like a beautiful blank canvas for their magic. I would reiterate that it is very unlikely anyone would want to harm you, just have some fun. Which I realise is still totally not cool or acceptable. But there are so few people here at any given time anyway, I'm sure we can find a quiet spot and just hang out together until the portal reopens for us"

"Sounds like a plan" Holly nodded.

"Once we are bound, I can bring you back safely. Nobody is going to fuck with you once I have my full magical charge back, trust me"

"Are you really that powerful, Rosa?" Holly couldn't help but feel a little turned on by the thought.

"I don't like to blow my own trumpet" Rosa smiled slyly "But yes"

"Wow, I'm actually pretty excited to see that" her partner giggled.

"Believe me, Holly Petersen. Once I'm back to full strength, I'm going to make sure you have everything that you have ever wanted, and get to do everything you have ever wanted to" Rosa promised proudly.

"I'm really not sure I'd want to live like that" Holly answered "I feel like I want to earn my rewards in life. And I want you to know I'm with you because I love who you are, not what you can give me"

"God, you're just too damned perfect!" Rosa gave Holly a light and playful slap on her left buttock "But you have to promise you'll let me spoil you a little bit at least. Just for my own sake"

"Okay, I think I can live with that" Holly smirked.

There was a pause as Rosa went suddenly from feeling perfectly happy to looking a little pained, an ugly thought rearing its head again, as if from nowhere.

"We've never really talked much about me being the source of your families curse"

"What's there to say at this point?" Holly shrugged "You did it over four centuries ago, you came from one coast to the other to try and put it right, and I've fallen in love with you. Really. what good is discussing it going to do either of us?"

"I just don't think I'll ever get over the guilt" Rosa sighed sadly "And even that makes it sound like I'm being a selfish bitch and making it all about me. But every time I think about the damage I've caused to your family, your sister and God forbid that I could have caused you, it kills me"

"That's good. It shows you're a human who made a mistake rather than a monster who did something evil" Holly reasoned "But I've already told you that you have my unconditional forgiveness and I mean it. I wouldn't be with you otherwise. You did something shitty to one of my ancestors after they did something shitty to you. Sure, the whole cursing of the entire family line was a dick move. But sometimes when good people get mad beyond reason they can do horrible, out of character stuff. I can't guarantee if I had magic powers I would never have used them for ****. It must be hard sometimes, like being **** to permanently walk around with a loaded gun"

"I've changed my mind, Hols" Rosa smiled through teary eyes as she stroked her girlfriends arm "Once I get my powers back you are getting everything you ever wanted. Even if you don't want it"

Holly giggled at how dumb that sounded as the pair found their way to a serene looking lake.

"Oh this is lovely. And it seems like we have it to ourselves. Let's stop here for a while"

Rosa scanned the area for a moment or two.

"It really does look like we're alone, doesn't it?"

She pulled off her cloak, the only thing she had been wearing, and guided Holly gently down onto the still damp grass.

The witch always vehemently denied it, but Holly felt certain she used some kind of magic whenever they made love. It was true that she was the only woman she had ever been with, but fucking shouldn't have felt this different, so blissfully better than it had ever been before. It was almost like there was a kind of electrical charge, for want of a better comparison, running over Holly's body and giving her sensual, tingling sensations that heightened the already intense pleasure she was feeling from the expert work Rosa's fingers and tongue were doing to her most intimate parts. The experience was incredible, but certainly didn't seem natural.

Once the pair had each climaxed multiple times and exhausted themselves, they lay silently in each others' arms, still undisturbed, for a long while. Eventually, Rosa stood up and wrapped her cloak back around her body.

"I think I can probably pick up the final ingredients I need from the forest over there" she nodded towards some trees not too far away "I shouldn't be more than a few minutes"

"You're leaving me here?" Holly asked with concern.

"I'll be back before you know it, and there is literally nobody within a mile"

"Maybe I could come with you?"

"Not a good idea, Hols. if your skin rubs up against the wrong plant it could be bad news"

"Okay" Holly looked around. She could see well into the distance in all directions and there really wasn't another soul in view, unless they were in the small forest area in which case Rosa ought to notice them "But don't take too long"

As Rosa scurried out of sight, Holly felt strangely at peace with everything.

In that moment she was naked and alone in another dimension, a crazy position for someone as naturally cautious as her to put herself in. But it didn't feel that way, more like she was on vacation with the person she loved.

But then she realised she wasn't on her own. Somehow, there was another cloaked figure standing in front of her. Holly didn't have a clue to the mystery figures identity as their face was shrouded in darkness, but it definitely wasn't Rosa. Holly should have felt panicked and tried to flee, but she didn't, instead staying frozen in place, unable to move or feel any fear as the stranger placed a hand gently on her head and their magic took a hold of her.

"My what an unexpected treasure to chance upon" the stranger spoke not out loud but from within Holly's mind, in a voice that gave no hint as to gender. If there even was an accent, it wasn't one she could place "Please don't worry, pretty one. The last thing I would ever do is cause harm to something as precious as you. Just keep still and close your eyes. There is no point in you trying to resist my enchantment, and everything is going to be fine."

"I told you I wouldn't be long, I got everything I needed and even a little extra for Alby!" Rosa called out with satisfaction as she emerged from the forest "Hols?"

Rosa's expression suddenly turned to one of grave concern as she looked over to the lake where Holly had been sat moments earlier and saw nothing.

"Oh fuck!"

The witch ran over to where her girlfriend had been, calling her name multiple times, but there was no answer. She looked around urgently, but Holly was nowhere to be seen. Rosa had only been away for a few minutes, no way could her girlfriend have moved out of her current field of vision, even if she had been crazy enough to want to. The witches' heart dropped to her stomach as the only possible explanation for what was going on here hit her like a sledgehammer.

Holly had been taken.
