Converse with her.

Not taking any risk of letting go of your guard, you glare at the slime creature and finally open your mouth.

"Who are you?"

The slime creature emits a chuckle as she lurches forward. "Well, isn't that obvious? If you want my name, don't bother as I don't have one. Rather than about me, why don't you tell me about yourself, adventurer. That way, we can get a little more comfortable together."

You narrow your eyes at her slow creep and wave your torch as a warning.

"Stay back, or I will fire my magic upon you. Tell me, where is the great treasure of the lost city?" you demand.

The slime creature stops, heeding your threat, for at least the moment.

She chuckles.

"Of course...this 'great' treasure that all of you foolish adventurers seek. If I had some advice, I would turn back. Nobody has ever reached the treasure, and for all I know, there may not even be a treasure."

No treasure? That's preposterous! These caverns must lead to a forgotten city. There has to exist some ancient value!

Seeing that you are unconvinced, the slime creature wonders why she even bothered explaining. No matter, she steps sideways and giggles lightly.

"Are you alone, adventurer? Even if you decide not to heed my words, you'll still fall prey to the creatures that are ahead. In particular, my fellow sisters who will...be less understanding about what you have to say," she advises again.

Not letting her slip past, you step back again and keep your torch aimed at her. At that moment, she backs away a little but does not show any sign of fear or discomfort.

"...and you do?"

The slime creature shrugs. By far, she's the most humanoid creature you have seen based on mannerisms. Further, she could easily glide across the floor, but you notice how she only steps with her formed feet. It's a bit peculiar.

"I wouldn't say I do, after all, I've feasted on my fair share of humans, most of which who attack on sight. Seeing that I rarely get to talk to many foolish adventurers, how about I cut you a deal?"

You furrow your eyebrows. "A deal?"

The slime creature nods. "Yes. I'll help you on your foolish endeavor seeing that you have nobody with you. In return though, you'll provide me your nutrients daily."

You almost sputter. "You must be joking! Why would I associate myself with a slime such as yourself?"

The slime creature frowns. "Because you'll fall prey to the many creatures of this cavern. I promise you that you won't meet a lot of monsters that can reason like I can. The majority will hunt you with an insatiable hunger, especially for men."

You can't help but shiver. "But if I refuse?"

The slime creature grins. "Well regardless, I am quite hungry. Willing or not, I will get my nutrients as it has been a while. Since I am unlike my sisters though, you won't be dried up and I will leave you to continue your foolish endeavor. So, what will it be?"

You curl your lips. Honestly, the girl seems very confident. As ridiculous as it is, it might be best to accept the deal. Although this would mean "feeding" her regularly, she's at least promising to be moderate...or at least, you hope so.

On the other hand, you don't need to put up with her. You can easily blast her away with your magic...probably.
