Living With Jade

You wake up before Jade does. She is still in a deep sleep next to you, wearing one of your T-shirts that is a size or two to big for her.

You will have to head over to her place and start moving her own stuff over here at some point, though that will no doubt involve having to deal with her ex, and you are not quite ready for that bit of unpleasantness yet. You know you will have to nip it in the bud soon, the poor bastard will probably be wondering already why his partner didn't come home last night, but you are hoping there is something you can think of to make Jade say that will soften the blow. You just need a bit more time to figure out what it might be.

It is starting to hit you just how big this all is. Jade will be waking up next to you every day from now on. You will be sharing your flat with her, and it is not a big one. She probably has a lot more stuff than you do, which she will want to bring over. One obvious solution to this would be to rent a bigger place together. But your wages as a freelance researcher are unreliable at best and Jade's job as a leisure centre receptionist probably isn't bringing in mega bucks either. However, you told her last night that you would make today all about doing something nice for her. And you think there may be a way of doing that which could also help with your financial issues.

You wake Jade up gently. It feels like she takes a few moments for her to readjust and remember where she is and who you are. But once she does, she seems fine with everything,

"Good morning, Master"

She looks at you expectantly, like she is waiting to find out what you have in store for her next. You hope she is going to like it.

"You told me you wanted to run your own business one day, Jade"

"Did I Master? I don't remember telling you that? But yes, I do"

Shit. You made her forget that conversation after the ambiguous wording of your command to tell you all about herself caused her to overshare in an embarrassing way. You decide to just style it out.

"You mentioned it in passing I think, Anyway, the point is, how would you like to do it for real, starting right now?"

"I'd love to, but how? I'd need to study for a business diploma first and that takes two years, Master" Jade shrugs off the suggestion as fanciful.

"Trust me, you don't need one" you smile "Jade, you now have a world class mind for business. You are exceptional at coming up with brilliant and innovative business ideas and know just how to pull them off. When it comes to business, you are one of the smartest people on the planet"

You were very careful to specify that she is only highly intelligent when it comes to work. Making her way smarter than you generally could fuck everything up in double quick time. She blinks a couple of times, then her face lights up.

"Fucking Hell, it worked! This is amazing!" she hugs you tightly to thank you before pulling back, her arms still wrapped around your waist "I already have the perfect idea. We are going to be rich, and we won't even have to do that much. We can spend most of our time just hanging out together while other people do the work for us!"

You certainly like the sound of that, and want to hear more.

"So what is your business plan based on then? Let me guess? Fashion? Marketing? A new social media platform?"

"No, there really isn't much space in any of those markets at the moment" she tells you "We need a USP, and luckily for us we have an amazing one, one we can keep to ourselves but use to our advantage to an almost unbelievable degree"

"Which is?" you ask, a little baffled.

"My family curse, of course" she replies with a smile "And all of your research, as well as your database of all of my distant relatives around the world!"
