Chapter 85 by Duskford Duskford

Can they reach an agreement about the bedrooms?

Peter comes up with a solution

“Yes, Shawn,” Taylor droned. “Let’s see about the bedrooms now.”

“Good,” He smirked, turning his back on the rest and going back up the stairs. “´Cause I already chose mine.”

“Hey, we were supposed to decide everything together!” Taylor tried to call his attention but a hand on her shoulder made the brunette stop.

She turned back and Hannah shook her head at her. “Leave him be, we all know how Shawn can be.”

Dustin scratched the back of his neck. “Sorry about my brother,” He apologized. “He’s been known to pull stunts like that from time to time.”

“Don’t we know it?” Kendra mumbled.

They climbed back up the stairs to the main floor and noticed that Shawn had taken possession of the bedroom beside the stairway, one of the two that had a bathroom inside.

“Okay,” Hannah trailed. “We have three of the bigger rooms left and the two smaller ones, how are we doing this?”

“It’s easy for me,” Peter answered, sidling up to Dustin. “I’m sure Dustin here won’t mind my idea, but I was thinking you girls can take the bigger ones and the two of us can take the other two.”

Taylor chuckled. “Why did I have a feeling you’d suggest that?” She asked, an amused smile at the corner of her lips.

Dustin shrugged. “I don’t mind.”

Hannah leaned in to Kendra’s ear. “I think you’ve dated the wrong brother.” She whispered, earning an angry swat on the arm from the geek.

“Well, I guess that settles it then,” Taylor said. “Now we just have to decide amongst ourselves who gets the other bathroom.”

Peter nodded. “C’mon, Dustin, let’s go take a look at our bedrooms.” He prompted, leading his friend’s younger brother to the other side of the cabin.

A few minutes later, Peter finished putting the last of his clothes into the dresser. His room was simpler one, compared to the ones taken by Shawn and the girls, but he liked it. It had two single beds, nightstands, a dresser and a desk with a chair.

He then sat on the bed he chose and chuckled nervously. He was happy to see his old friends again, even if Will wasn’t able to come. The image of Hannah flashed in his mind again, like it had for that entire day.

”Two and half days aren’t enough,” He mused. ”I’ll never be able to get her back.”

However, Peter wasn’t one to give up easily. His feelings for the blonde still burned strongly inside him and he wouldn’t give up without at least trying. He was willing to take anything that he could get, even if it meant a long distance relationship.

At her designated bedroom, the one above Hannah’s, Taylor had just finished unpacking as well. Her room had a double bed, two nightstands, a wardrobe and a desk with a chair. She sat on the bed’s edge for a moment and admired the lake through the open window. From there, she could see the cabin her little brother was staying as well. There seemed to be three boys at the deck, whom she recognized as Zack and his two friends Gavin Westher and Brandon Cole.

The blue-eyed brunette then proceeded to remove the clothes she had used on the trip, after deciding to put on some more comfortable clothes. She caught sight of her lingerie-clad body on the mirror mounted on the wardrobe’s doors and smiled briefly, her medium-sized breasts were as perky as ever and the curve of her butt was flawless. Her smooth milky skin was dotted by some freckles in the area of chest and a few fainter ones along her arms and nose. The powder blue color of her lacy bra and panties matched her eyes perfectly.

”Not that anyone will see it, though.” Taylor sighed as she retrieved from the wardrobe the clothes she wanted to wear, a black short-sleeved blouse, a pair of blue jeans and black flip-flops.

She was glad that none of her friends were dating someone at the moment, otherwise she imagined she would be a little jealous. Taylor had reached a phase where the occasional hook-ups and short term relationships weren’t enough anymore, she wanted a serious boyfriend, someone she could bring home and introduce to her family. However, the brunette beauty was extremely picky when it came to potential boyfriends, as she didn’t want to get herself involved with just anyone.

When she finished putting on the change of clothes she had picked, Taylor decided to go check what Hannah was doing. As she went down the stairs, her best friend was exiting her own room, located directly below Taylor’s one. Hannah had changed her clothes too, opting for a white tank top over a black sports bra which did a fine job of supporting her large breasts, a pair of dark blue jeans and white sandals.

“Tay, the bathroom in there is awesome.” The blonde said when she saw her brunette friend walking over to her.

“That’s good to know,” Taylor replied. “Just don’t forget that the two of us are supposed to share your bathroom.”

“I didn’t,” Hannah grinned before she looked at the double doors at the living room. She turned back to Taylor. “C’mon, let’s go see the deck.”

As they crossed over the living room, they could see Peter, Kendra and Dustin in the kitchen while Shawn was nowhere to be seen. Opening the double doors, the two friends stepped into the spacious wooden deck, where a number of chaises, chairs and tables were scattered around a large lunch table.

“Oh, look,” Hannah pointed out to the other cabin across the lake. “There’s my sister and your brother there.”

“Interesting,” Taylor crossed her arms, feigning a thoughtful expression. “You don’t suppose they are, you know…”

Hannah swatted her friend’s arm playfully. “Stop that!” She said with a smile. “You know very well my little sis is firmly on a path to marry her very first boyfriend.”

Taylor chuckled. “That way you’ll make me think you’re disappointed in her, Han.”

“Nah,” Hannah shrugged. “I just think she should’ve lived a little before committing herself to Brandon like that, even with him being as nice as he is.”

“A fair point,” Taylor said, glancing at the calm waters of Silver Lake. “Besides, as we know, my little brother likes another.”

“Still Victoria?” Hannah grimaced. “That can’t be good for the poor guy with Dustin coming back and all, Ashley told me quite often about how miserable Victoria was when he left.”

Taylor turned to her blonde friend with a faint smile. “Well, be glad that it isn’t you anymore.”

“Oh, yeah, that,” Hannah smiled. “Do you think he ever realized that we knew about his cute crush on me?”

“Who knows?” Taylor replied. “Zack’s pretty smart, but when it comes to girls, he’s clueless like all the other guys.”

“True,” Hannah chuckled. “Let’s go talk to them?”

Taylor nodded. “Yeah, let’s.”

What were Zack and Ashley talking about?
