He wants to walk; they say goodbye to Lisa

Gavin scratched the back of his neck, thinking for a couple of seconds before. “Aw, I think I can walk just fine,” He replied. “Let’s walk back, it’ll make up for the hike I didn’t have yesterday.”

“You’re sure?” Chloe asked, the concern for her friend making the awkwardness between them slip from her mind for a while.

Gavin smiled reassuringly at the redhead. “I can do it, don’t worry,” He said. “We’ll have to go slow as Zack said, though.”

At that moment, Lisa got out of the cabin and walked over to them. After hugging Chloe and Gavin briefly, she went to Zack and hugged him tightly, making him smile weakly against her neck.

“I forgive you,” She whispered into his ear. “If you want my opinion on your problem, go for Heather. She’ll make you much happier than Victoria.”

They broke the hug and Zack stared at her with a confused look on his face. Lisa grinned.

“Sorry, I won’t tell you more than that,” She said, still in a low voice. “You have to see it for yourself.”

The corners of Zack’s lips curled in another smile. “Thanks, Lisa,” He said. “I feel awful about what I did to you last night, so it means a lot that you’re willing to forgive me. I told you how much I value our friendship.”

Lisa smiled faintly. “Well, I take what I can get,” She mumbled. “But don’t worry, I consented to it, so I have to take part of the blame as well.”

Zack chuckled and leaned in, planting a kiss on her forehead. “Goodbye, Lisa,” He said, staring into her chocolate orbs. “Take care, ok?”

“You too, now go,” She shooed them with a grin plastered over her face. “You guys have to get going if you want to get to your cabin before lunch.”

“Goodbye, Lisa.” Chloe waved to her as Gavin just nodded his head with a small smile.

The black-haired girl waved to her three friends as she stood at the porch watching them leave through the path in the woods. She sighed, if Zack couldn’t be happy with her, she truly hoped that he could see how great of a match Heather was for him.

”Especially if he knew what I know.” Lisa thought as she entered the cabin again.
