The government founds a new group of redeemed villians

Ash and Julian got dressed quickly and followed Spark. The superhero remained calm and quiet the entire time. He neither gave the two lovers a lecture, nor apologized for the lightning attack. On the one hand, he was probably angry at them for this incident. On the other hand, he was eventually embarrassed because he thought their sex was a **** he tried to prevent by using his super powers.

When arriving in the dining hall, Julian was surprised how many people are here. All inmates from the superhuman wing and even some from the normal juvenile detention center. It was not usual to see all of them together, as many of them are rivals or in rival gangs. A few even have powers that are not compatible with each other and cause trouble without intention while being just in the same room. The guards probably let them **** but to come, like they did with Julian and Ash.

However, the real eyecatcher was not the crowd. It was the small group of people in colorful costumes that stood at the northern wall, next to the serving windows to the kitchen. Especially the woman in the middle. A young, blonde, slender woman with flawless skin and a warm, friendly smile. She had a tight, dark blue costume with several white and slightly yellow spots on it, resembling stars. It hugged her perfect, round curves very well. She also had a necklace. A five pointed star made of five equally big gems hold together by a thin layer of gold.

This woman was Cosmic. One of the world greatest superheroes, beauty idol and also secret desire of many men. And also several women. The other people around her are also superheroes from the Worldwide League of Heroes. At least three generations were present. You can see Guardia and Shadow blade II, two of the oldest active superheroes in the world and former sidekicks of founding members of the league. Then there is Powerhouse, an Australian hero with superstrenght who is already in his late fortieth. An African woman called sonic boom in English. Her power is super speed and she has already partly grey hair, but Julian knew nothing more. She is not often in the American news. And then there is Cosmic, the 27 year old beauty. There also are three other heroes, but Julian doesn’t know them. Spark quickly adds himself to the group.

The mood is tense. While most of the prisoners are confused or interested about what is going on, some are even more hostile than usual. They most likely own their stay here to one of them. Or probably they arrested a relative. Julian did not know and the fact that the angry inmates shout all at almost the same time was not helping. Some of them even threw things at the guests.

It only gets more quiet when the prison director enters and threatens to allow the guards to shock everyone if it is not getting more quiet soon. And even if most of the loud guys did not show any sign of respect, at least it gets quiet enough for the guests to speak. The speech begins with Guardian.

“Good day and thank you all for your attention,” Guardian begins and Julian wonders if he knows about the fact that not all people here came voluntary, “for these of you who don’t know me, I am Guardian. Current leader of the WLH and honorary member of the Intergalactic Peacekeepers Society. My colleagues and I have been protecting this world from global threats and international criminal organizations for 70 years now. I know that...”

“You suck,” a female voice somewhere behind Julian shouts.

“Please, we are here to make you an offer, ”

“And some of us are here because of you, so shut up, grandpa,” a guy to Julian’s left shouts.

This guy was Raphael. A former brutal enforcer in his own fathers criminal organization. He considers himself to be kind of the prisons king, because of his father’s influence. His powers are not even that impressive, he is just a guy with standard fire powers. However, his father makes deals with other powerful people and can quickly call someone really powerful for his sons aid or hurt people outside of the detention center. This did not helped when Raphael he was arrested by a superhero, but gives him a lot of power while in prison and a very bratty attitude. That his superpowers increased his pride made it even worse.

“Inmates, stay calm!” the director orders harsh, “one more outburst and you will all get a punishment shock.”

“I want to see you trying,” Raphael provokes the director, much to the joy of his gang of henchmen, who cheer about almost everything he does or say.

Raphael never had any respect for authorities. Since his father could bribe or threaten most authority figures, Raphael always expected them to submit to his demands. And even if he is in prison for almost six years now, he still hasn’t learned that the prison director neither is on his father’s payroll, nor threatened by Raphael’s threats. Well, the fact that he seems to not like the inmates at all probably also plays a role in this. It barely surprises anybody except Raphael when a painful shock made every inmate in the room moan and shiver.

“You bastard,” Raphael howls while clutching his collar, “I will kill your kids and fuck your wife before ripping your head off …”

“Please, everyone, let us stay peaceful,” Cosmic interrupts the situation calm, “we are here to make you an offer, it is about your future. Please listen to us and if you are not interested, you can still throw your insults and trash at us. Is this a deal we can agree on?”

“Yeah, give us the blonde,” a guy far away from Julian calls loud, “I like her tits.”

“Well, thank you,” Cosmic answers a little off guard, “but please listen to Guardians words!”

Raphael and his goons are not happy, but remain silent. The other inmates don’t want another shock and Cosmic is far too popular among the male inmates to just scream her down like Guardian.

“Thank you, Cosmic,” Guardian says and his voice sounds a little weak, “as I said, we are the protectors of the earth. Since the first Superhuman, a lot has changed. The world has never been more peacefully and tense at the same time. Police and military have their own modified humans and technology experts, but when the next global threat appears, there is no guarantee that the Worldwide League of Heroes is able to resolve the situation on its own. We need capable help. And that’s where you will come in. I know that most of you had a lot of bad experience with law enforcement. If justified or not is another topic.
