Reward for cabbages emergency quest

If someone asked me whether I preferred being useful or useless to my master, I would say that it depended on whether my master commanded me to be useful or useless. After all, just like a female's body, their usefulness is meant to be a tool complementary to their male masters. If my Master deems me useless, I will comply and become a useless person only fit for breeding by my master. If my Master deems me useful, I will utilize every worth of my existence to bring profit to my master. The Male master that holds my leash can use me like a tool or cripple me until I can't live without him.

Why am I thinking about this kind of stuff? Whether I am a useful or useless person?

"Create water!" Kazuma shouts as he fills up a glass with water and drinks from it.

"Clap! Clap! Congratulations Kazuma! You learned beginner elemental magic!" I clap at Kazuma's antics while he blushes and turns away.

"Thanks to you for teaching me for free," murmured Kazuma.

"No problem!" I smile at Kazuma in a way that makes his face do funny things.

Yes, I taught Kazuma my beginner elemental magic, even if I don't know if it will make me a useless or useful person in the long run. Kazuma may slowly take my position as the damage dealer mage and reduce me into buff specialist, or he could become a more flexible combatant to quickly adapt to battle situations and take other roles interchangeably. I don't know what role Kazuma is eventually going to have as his skill is all over the place. He had sword, thief, and even mage skills for now.

"Got any other spell with a cheap skill cost for me?" Kazuma asked me.

"Aside from other beginner elemental magic Kazuma didn't learn yet, there is chant shortening but I guess beginner magic doesn't need chanting." I answer honestly, I'm just level 5 mage but my other skill seems costly to the adventurer class that Kazuma has, who earns little skill points after each level up compared to me. Why a male like him with great luck and a fine personality would gain so little skill points confounds me! It's not fair! A male like him needs at least 50 skill points after leveling up!

"Well, that's basically what I expected from elementary magic. So basic," complained Kazuma as he leaned back in his chair.

"Uh... sorry..." I don't know why I felt the need to apologize.

"Don't mind it. Now that I've learned a skill, maybe I'm a bit more of an adventurer than I was before." Kazuma said as he contemplatively glanced at the palm of his hand.

"Way to go, Kazuma! What a positive outlook!" I cheered at Kazuma.

"Are you mocking me?" Kazuma asked suspiciously, narrowing his eyes.

"Uh... sorry... I didn't mean to mock you." Why was my compliment interpreted as mocking a great male like him.

"Kazuma! Kurone!" At Darkness' call, we turned and saw her with a brand new set of armor, with the old set having been demolished by the horde of cabbages.

"What's up, Darkness?" I ask just in case.

"Look! I repaired my armor with the reward I got from the cabbages. It's so shiny now! What do you two think?" Darkness asked while doing a body motion that was questionable but not completely lewd.

"Looks like the sort of armor an aristocrat's son would wear," answered Kazuma half-heartedly.

"What a way to brag about your wealth, Darkness." I complimented with a respectful nod. I was just amazed at how fast it was repaired, the cabbage harvest was only yesterday.

"There are times when I'd like some genuine praise too. Both of you never show any mercy do you, Kazuma, Kurone?" Darkness complained while still panting.

"I don't have time to pay attention to you right now, you should do something about that pervert before she surpasses you." Kazuma said, turning to look at Megumin's direction.

That made me and Darkness turn to see what Megumin was doing. Like Darkness, she was doing some highly suggestive squirming and seemed to be practically masturbating with her new staff.

"The luster of this Manatite Staff brimming with magical power... Ha~ Haha~" Megumin moaned as she continued an action that would make a stripper proud.

"Is the magical power making her excited or is she just a Magiophile?" I asked rhetorically. I didn't know the exact term for someone who was sexually attracted to magical power, but whatever it was Megumin seemed to qualify.

"What the hell is a Magiophile? You just made that up, didn't you?" Kazuman asked with a dubious look. I just shrugged in response.

"What is this?! Hey you, what's the meaning of this? How many cabbages do you think I caught?" Shouted Aqua making us look at her direction, she held Luna's collar and demanded an explanation.

"Well..." Luna responded timidly.

"What?" Aqua asked with a growl.

"Most of Aqua-sama's catches are actually lettuce..." Luna answered as she looked at the pile of greens in front of her.

"Why is there lettuce mixed in?!" Aqua wailed as she finally noticed what Luna was pointing out, practically in tears.

Darkness, Kazuma, and I looked at the scene silently. I caught both cabbages and lettuce in my batch, so I knew that they had different values despite looking similar. I know how earth cabbages and lettuce are different from each other, but because the crops here in Belzerg were closer to animals I had no idea what made their value so different.

"Lettuce crops generate very little value compared to cabbages," I muttered.

"It is true that lettuce has a low exchange rate," Darkness agreed.

"I don't know anything about weird monster crops, but sure," Kazuma responded.

"I went through a lot of trouble to collect these, so do something!" Aqua complained as she shook Luna back and forth..

Suddenly, Aqua walked to our table with a cutely walking motion that to me looked like a female asking money from her sugar daddy.

"Kazuma-san~ how much was your reward from our last quest?" Aqua asked with a cutesy pose. See? Classic sugar baby behavior.

"About a million," Kazuma answered in a disinterested tone.

"Gasp!?" Aqua, Darkness, Megumin, and I were shocked to hear just how much Kazuma earned from the cabbage quest.

Darkness and I were simply shocked at how he managed to earn so much compared to the rest of the party, Megumin whispered the number again and again in a daze, while Aqua got an intense look in her eyes.

While the rest of us were still wondering how he earned such a payout, Aqua suddenly skipped toward Kazuma with an uncharacteristically cute expression and voice

"K-Kazuma-sama~ I've thought this for quite some time but you're..." Aqua stopped in the middle sentence as if she had to think about what to say next, "fairly cool, you know?"

"If nothing praiseworthy about me comes to mind, don't **** it," Kazuma bitterly replied, causing Aqua to tear up.

"Kazumaaa! I thought my reward for this quest would be very hefty, so I used all the money I had! In fact, I expected to rake in the eris, so I have a bar tab of nearly 100,000 eris!" Aqua whines while shaking Kazuma from across the table.

In the middle of Aqua' rant, she pointed at a group of suspicious-looking ruffians. Oh, it's the third party that I joined, and it seems like they ended up joining the guild as some sort of enforcers, or maybe guards? I don't really care enough to find out. I joined their party because they seemed to be rough thugs on the outside, but they lacked guts to make me their cumdump, and eventually disbanded their party because their leader had to take care of their sick family back home. Such is the terrible luck I have, encountering a perfect looking group of ruffians, but they are just content with their life and morals.

"What do I care! You're the one who suggested that we keep our rewards to ourselves!" retorted Kazuma to Aqua's problems.

"That was because I thought I'd be the only one raking it in!" Aqua shamelessly responded.

"You're real scum," Kazuma flatly stated, making me shiver at his expression of disgust.

"Please, lend me money! I need just enough to pay for my tab!" begged Aqua for Kazuma money, which made me retrospective of how she got here in the first place.

This is the bonafide goddess that reincarnated me here, but even then she is still a lowly female. What I saw before me was not even a goddess, but Kazuma's cheat item. Just an item, thing, and useless girl that can't even handle her own money. An inferior female that can't survive without a superior male guiding her. The thought almost made me cum.

I was knocked out of my thinking when Kazuma had enough of Aqua's whining and stood up, "Shut up! You useless goddess! I'm using this money to escape life in the stables once and for all!"

Seeing her begging having no effect, Aqua switched gears and adopted a more seductive and teasing expression, swinging her ass side to side on the table, "Well, you're a boy and I know you rustle around beside me at night sometimes, so I am sure you'd like a private room very soon..."

As Aqua said that Kazuma suddenly looked scared... wait... is Aqua blackmailing Kazuma!? Blasphemy! Even if she is a goddess, she needs to learn her place as the lesser gender! I immediately knocked her head with my fist.

"Owie! What is wrong with you! Kurone!" Aqua shouted at me while Kazuma puzzled at my actions of hitting his cheat item.

I ignored her and went to chat and negotiate with Luna. While Aqua was absolutely a useless goddess, she still had a few skills that could be profitable if used right. Namely, using her Nature's Beauty party trick to keep all the new cabbages fresh for longer. After negotiating Aqua's new service to the guild, I returned to the table.

"I talked them into acquiring Aqua's service in keeping the cabbages fresh, and they agreed on 20,000 eris for it." As I walked back, I informed them about my deal with Luna.

Aqua was absolutely shocked at hearing that before bowing repeatedly and hugging me, "Thank you, thank you, thank you Kurone! My savior!"

"Save it for later, you still need 80,000 more eris to pay for your tab... we can get it from a quest easily enough." I shoved Aqua away and pointed at the quest board.

"You're right! Quests are easy money! Quest money, here I come!" Aqua smiles as she runs up to the quest board and looks for a quest.

I looked at the still puzzled Kazuma at my overall action and felt like I may have overstepped my boundaries, "Sorry for hitting and ordering around your cheat item Kazuma."

"It's nothing, I'm just surprised at how you easily handled Aqua's troublesome personality." Kazuma shakes his head while commenting at how easily I am at handling Aqua but also puzzled at my action and wording.

"Maybe because we are fellow girls," females are more emotional creatures after all, so even a goddess must have hormones that made her an inferior female like me, "even so are you sure Aqua will pick the right quest for us?"

Kazuma scratches his chin as he finishes thinking, "You're right about that, I need to see what quest she picks."

Kazuma then follows Aqua to the quest board, as Aqua almost tore a quest Kazuma stopped her and argued about her choice of quest and Kazuma countered it as impossible as of right now.

Two of them came back with a very familiar looking quest poster.

"We will do a Giant Toad slaying quest again, so if any disagree, raise your hand," only Aqua and Megumin raise their hand.

"Please not the Toads again," both of them complained, apparently still traumatized by what had happened.

"Anyone who agrees to do the quest, raise your hand,"Kazuma, Darkness, and I raise our hands, "Toad slaying it is, sorry Aqua and Megumin."

"Nooo!" Aqua and Megumin groaned in despair.

"Yeeees!" Darkness and I shouted happily, excited at the chance to see how Kazuma gained his deviant reputation.

"What on earth is happening right now?" Kazuma asked, puzzled at our reactions.
