The crowd wanted to give Aqua some tips for an encore, but for some reason Aqua refused the payment, saying that a goddess like herself won't accept money for her art, a weird goddess if you ask me.

After some time, Kazuma returned with a blushing Darkness and a crying Chris.... It hadn't even been an hour, what happened? Don't tell me lewd development already happened when I wasn't looking!?

Aqua finished her trick party then proceeded to ask Kazuma where they went and why they missed witnessing her "amazing" tricks up close. After that insulting commotion Chris went off to find a quest that needed a Thief to earn her money back and joined up with a temporary party.

"So Kazuma, did you learn any thief skills from her?" Megumin suddenly asked Kazuma.

"Humph, why not see for yourself? Here I go, Steal!" Kazuma smiled and extended his hand.

"That right, aren't we great?" said Aqua smugly.

"Aqua and I want to take down the Demon King no matter what. That's our goal as adventurers. And so our adventures will only become more dangerous, especially for Darkness. As a female knight, you might experience inhuman treatment if you get captured by the Demon King." continued Kazuma.

"That's right! Since ancient times, getting sexually harassed by the Demon King was the job of the female knights! That alone would be worth the trip!" said Darkness composedly.

With the entire guild's eyes on her, Megumin made a chunni declaration.

Kazuma sighed as he looked at me helplessly.

"So what is your deal, Kurone? I remember this idiot putting on the recruitment poster that one requirement to join our party was having an Advanced Class but you insist on joining our party anyway, why?"

By now I see Megumin pouting and Darkness looking confused.

"What are you two talking about in that strange language?" Megumin asked.

"Ah, sorry... I just noticed Kazuma might be from a country that had good relations with my home country and my guess was correct."

As I answered Megumin and Darkness about why our language is different from them, I saw Aqua whisper to Kazuma ears and Kazuma look at Aqua judgingly as he answered.

All of sudden there was an announcement.

"Emergency quest! Emergency quest! All adventurers in town, please gather at the Adventurer's Guild! I repeat, emergency quest! Emergency quest! All adventurers in town, please gather at the Adventurer's Guild!"

The loud broadcast could be heard throughout the entire town, probably amplified through magic.

"Hey, what are 'emergency quests'? Are monsters raiding the town?" asked Kazuma, I was also curious about what type of situation would make it necessary to blare the town emergency system.

Despite the emergency, Darkness and Megumin seemed elated.

Darkness said joyfully,

"… Um, it's probably cabbage harvesting. It's the season for them."

"Huh? Cabbages? Is that the name of some monster?" asked Kazuma.

This is one of those damned living vegetables.

Please take care of your own safety and don't get hurt from the cabbages' counterattack! Also, because of the large number of people and bounties, the reward will be given out later!"

The sound of cheers erupted outside the adventurer's guild.

Everyone that is an adventurer rushed out the gate and started preparing, with my future party and I joining up, Aqua came over to Kazuma's side and continued her explanation:

"The cabbages in this world can fly. When their taste ripens during harvest season, they fly through cities, over plains, across the continent and to the ocean, unwilling to be eaten. Because of that, we need to catch the cabbages and eat them while they're still delicious."

"HARVEST!" all of the adventurers shouted as they looked at the green cloud approaching us.

"Bring me mayonaise!" shouted Aqua out of nowhere.

As I witnessed the cloud of cabbage getting closer and saw how the cabbages were numerous enough to cover the sky and turn the sunny day overcast, a single thought occurred to me.

Are these cabbages some sort of living vegetable variant phenomenon similar to grasshoppers becoming locusts on Earth? Instead of locusts, it is a cabbage swarm.

"Attack!" commanded one very buff guy after the cloud of cabbages came into range.

"May I go back to the stables and sleep?" asked Kazuma.

This is.... An opportunity.

"Kazuma, watch me and assess my ability. This way you can be sure that the party would benefit from my participation!" I declared while preparing my magic.

"This is also the perfect chance for me to showcase my ability as a Crusader." Darkness said as she brandished the sword and charged forward.

"Sigh, I want to sleep," Kazuma complained but still stayed to see how the two would fair against the flying vegetables. After Darkness' declaration of her strength, he expected her to at least be able to hit the equivalent of a flying basketball. Unfortunately, he was severely underwhelmed by what he saw, with Darkness somehow missing every single one of her attacks. "Darkness, your attacks didn't hit a single one of the Cabbages!"

"Fireball!" I shot down some nearby Cabbages, and made sure to collect the downed greens.

"This one.... is decent."

"Aaaargh!" Some adventurers scream as they get rammed by cabbages and knocked out. One unfortunate fella was kept in place by the weight of another collapsed adventurer, and could only desperately struggle as he saw even more vegetables closing in.

"Look out!" Darkness suddenly ran and placed herself between the adventurers and cabbages, using her own body as a protective shield. "I'll handle this. Get away while you can!

"Darkness!" I screamed as I saw her get hit by cabbage after cabbage, the blows strong enough to tear her armor off piece by piece. Until the only protection she had left was her skintight black bodysuit.

I rushed to Darkness to cover her and get her out of danger, only to see a scene that confused me.... Instead of grunts of pain, she was letting out moans that would make a human sow proud. The bitch was actually getting off to this! She was having fun getting hit by the cabbages, with the adventurers she was protecting somehow mistaking her as some knight in shining armor... What am I seeing? Darkness standing in front of many adventurers while she got praised for taking the damage? Because she is some role model of a Crusader? But the way she enjoyed getting hit by the cabbages irritated me on an instinctual level, this was not the time to indulge in our masochism! They are fucking cabbages, not true males! Not worthy of our submission (unless our Master ordered so for his amusement).

"Wind curtains!" I cast a wind defense spell around Darkness, causing damage to the cabbages trying to ram her.

"Ah!" Darkness made a disappointed noise.

"Find another time to indulge your hobby!" I reprimand Darkness about the way she carried herself here... it's not the appropriate time to indulge masochist tendencies, unless the male said so.

"Not fair Kurone! Not fair!" Darkness complained, causing adventurers to stare at us in confusion.

"Do you want to join Kazuma's party or not!? We need to impress him if we want to join!" I shouted at Darkness.

"Impressing Kazuma.... that's it! Thanks for the inspiration Kurone!" Darkness looked at scattered cabbages across the field and the sky, "Only one thing for me to do, Decoy!"

It seems Darkness activated some sort of skill because all of sudden a bunch of cabbages began swarming us.

"Darkness! What did you do!? Fireball!" I asked Darkness while shooting at the cabbages that almost hit me.

"Decoy! My skill to lure monsters to me and make me their primary target!" This nutcase of a masochist noble!

"I can't handle this many cabbages! Turn off your skill!" I demanded of

"Gah! Why are you so heavy?!" I tried to get as far as I could, but I was being slowed by having to carry Darkness' mass. Curse her gorilla-sized muscles!

"Tattoo Status Effect Creation: Strength Boost, 1-hour duration." I make a new status effect with a fist tattoo on my palm but the spell around us is almost complete, "High-speed boost! 1-hour duration."

So I used two status effects, which was just barely enough to get us out of the spell zone before the magic was fired, sending the two of us tumbling to the ground. I looked back to see what spell had almost been the cause of my second ****.

"WHO SHOT A FUCKING TACTICAL NUKE AT US!" I shouted at adventurers surrounding us that had stumbled around us, utterly flabbergasting by the sight of a fucking mushroom cloud where we were less than a minute ago. They were unable to respond, also staring in confusion at the sight.

The one who answered me was Kazuma, wordlessly pointing down at the little witch named Megumin that face planted to the ground.

"Ah~ that was an amazing explosion~" said Megumin dreamily.

After I created a stamina boost status effect with lightning tattoo to reinvigorate Megumin and ruthlessly drive to collect her own charred cabbages, we find ourselves back in guild hall at the same table after getting our share of money when the cabbage swarm subsided.

"You're so skilled, Darkness! As expected of a Crusader! The cabbages couldn't break through your iron-wall defense no matter what they did." Praised Aqua toward Darkness.

"No, I didn't do much, I'm just really tough. I'm clumsy and slow so I can't really hit my target; my only strong point is shielding others…" Darkness awkwardly said, looking away in embarrassment.

"Don't ignore your own efforts Aqua, your Nature's Beauty was useful in keeping the cabbages fresh and keeping the other adventurers refreshed and hydrated, it was also a pretty good morale boost." Megumin praised Aqua as for how she kept cabbages fresh when transporting the harvest and caring for the adventurers afterwards.

"Fufufu, it's my responsibility as a goddess after all. Water from an Arch Priest is so pure~" shamelessly declared Aqua.

"Megumin had an impressive offensive magic. You took out the entire horde of monsters that were chasing after the cabbages right into town with just one explosion attack, all the other adventurers were shocked." Were there other monsters swarming us when Darkness activated her Decoy to lure cabbages? I remember seeing some more animal shaped courses afterward, so I guess she did help with them after all. I'm still planning on running some correction sex on her of course, but I can admit the small help.

"Kuku, no one could stand up to the power of my Explosion magic… But I didn't know Kurone could energize me after I cast Explosion, that was a surprise... Thanks to that, I could collect my own cabbage bounties." Surprisingly, Megumin seemed to view me in a good light despite me driving her hard to collect her own cabbages.

These three females chuckled at the praise getting thrown their way, but isn't this bad if only the females are getting praised? Kazuma deserved more after what we saw!

He carried Megumin back after my buff on her ran out of time and helped me in thinning the cabbages surrounding Darkness! He was definitely a hero!" There it is, time for me to praise Kazuma like a hero he was. He was the only male of the group, so he was automatically the most heroic and awesome of course.

"Stop it, it was no big deal." Kazuma bashfully said before looking to the side, but seemed to preen under the praise.

"… Yeah, when I was surrounded by cabbages and monsters, Kazuma showed up and captured all the cabbages attacking me. Thank you for rescuing me." So you can act normal Darkness when you're not in quest.

"Indeed, erasing your presence with Lurk, grasping the movement of the cabbages with Enemy Detection and surprising them with Steal from behind. That was just like an outstanding assassin-like move." Megumin unexpectedly analyzed and praised Kazuma's strategy in getting his cabbages.

Aqua finally finished her cabbages and casually placed her plate on the table.

I don't have much of an arsenal other than basic magic and two intermediate spells, but I can buff our party or debuff our enemy using a bunch of status effects if the situation arises. So please take care of me and Darkness." I also declared myself, there is no way I'm missing out on this party!

Aqua smiled leisurely, looking pleased.

"… Humph, our party's becoming great. I'm an Archpriest, Megumin's an Archwizard, and now we have the defensive specialist vanguard, the Crusader Darkness. Kurone as a mage and buff specialist is no slouch either. Three out of five members having top-tier jobs is rare, Kazuma! Do you know how lucky you are? You have to be grateful, okay?" Aqua proudly said.

Muehehehe... Kazuma is indeed lucky to have this party if he included me~ after all, I plan to make all females in this party his slavegirls to enjoy, even though I am planning to be his slavegirl. "To boost my sales when working at the stall, my cheat has quite a wide range of effects." I explained.

"Quite the array you have there."

Kazuma gave me back my card after seeing my spell and status effect skill.

"Well then, Kazuma. I'll probably… No. I'll certainly be a bother to you, so don't hold back and lecture me viciously. Please take care of me from now on." Said Darkness as she extended her hand.

"Same for me. I don't know how to fully utilize my cheat ability, so tell me if you want specific status effects to use or test. Please take care of me too." I bowed towards Kazuma.

"Huft, at least we get a functioning cheat user in our party." He stared at my face a little bit before doing a thinking pose and muttered, "at least I don't need to suffer alone and maybe I can work with this foreigner, she looks normal and cute."

I don't need normalcy Kazuma, I need ****~ but there is no way I will say that right now.

After all, I need to destroy my party crusher reputation. So I will reserve my tactics when the both of us are alone.
