Internally panics!

(Anne's pov)

I wake up groggily with a headache, an arm wrapped around me, pulling me close to their body. Whose arm is this?!? I try to turn and see Pieter.

Wait, this isn't my room either. Why am I in his room? Try to remember last night, Anne. I know you can. I kissed him because of that dumb app. I, I told him I love him!!! Ashamed, I think I would have never told him.

Okay, one step that does not explain why I am in his room. I asked to sleep over and placed myself in his bed. Why?!? Why did I do all that?!?

I panic. A dumb app. That DAMMED LifeQuest app. In my drunken stupor, I did everything it asked without knowing if it worked. This is not something I would normally do. I am a good girl. I had dates, but I had hoped this gentle, kind, dumb idiot of a man would realise I love him by himself. What would happen if I confronted him with this? Would his love be genuine if he admitted it now? Will he get me ever let me out of this embrace?

I kiss him on his lips. "Hi Pieter, I think it is about time for me to wake up and get dressed and ready to go to work."

He wakes up not even shocked, and he responds: "Hey, Anne. Last night, when I got home, I was really happy to see you opening my door. It felt like I had come home. Waking up next to you like this is the greatest experience I have had."

Those sappy words pierced my heart even more. "Can you remove your arm so I can get dressed and home so I can change?"

He stands up and goes to the kitchen, comes back. "Here, have a spare key. That way, you can close the door behind yourself and get in when you need to. Are you still up for that date at the Parrot village on Saturday?"

I blink a few times and say: "Yes of course. Thanks for the key, do we meet up there, do you come pick me up, or do we meet here?"

He walks up and kisses my forehead "I will come pick you up, you live in Tongelre anyway. It would be on my route." He heads back to the kitchen and returns one second later with a mug in his hand. "Here, have a double-strength coffee, topped with half a mug of foamed cream. You look like you need it after the three bottles of wine you and Roos drank."

"Thanks", my eyes wide open as I head to the bathroom. Should I tell him about the app? I feel like I am manipulating him. The thought of this morning keeps rushing back. The APP!! I open it and look.

What is the reward for that? I click on the quest and see the reward "Gain perk: Birth control I". What is a perk... Does a perk occur more because I have more perk points? Well, I will figure it out later. I will choose not to tell him for now.

After getting dressed, I kiss Pieter goodbye as he says, "So are we a couple now?"

"Yes", I say, awkwardly blushing ear to ear. "I will see you at lunch." I leave with coffee in hand.

(Pieter's POV, while Anne is still in the toilet)

Anne is in the toilet. Let's check the QuestMaster app.

Okay, okay, I can ask her if we are dating now. What would be a thing she would do if we were dating? I need to buy condoms. Could I get her to buy a box of condoms?

Isn't that what condoms are for? Well, that and STDs.

Anne returns. "So are we a couple now?" I ask, hoping to get the first requirement done without a hassle. The fact that I got the prompt probably means we are close to meeting the relationship requirement. Please say yes so I don't have to think about that requirement.

She answers as she turns around to leave: "Yes, I will see you at lunch."

She left with my mug, she did, didn't she? Well, she can return it herself or hand it over at lunch. Okay, I need to level up to gain the ability to assign her a class. A class will allow her to level up faster. I gain XP from assigning quests and achievements. So I could get ad targets, go achievement hunting, or try to learn how to optimise quests for XP.

Feel free to make them yourself if the chapters don't specify the requirements. Requirements are generally revealed when a target is close to meeting at least one of the requirements (except for the level or class requirement). What is close that depends on the eye of the beholder.
