Getting back on track

Finally leaving the village, Mǎ Fáng was happy to see that the two of them were obeying the rules he put in place, leaving with a clear conscious and knowledge that he was going to get a good nest egg if everything went sideways.

As for where they were going, Mǎ Fáng decided to go away from the village through the opposite side of where the crop forest is, already worrying as cultivators started trying to explore or fight the jungle, and buying the crops that Báihuā brought out. The crops themselves were ordinary, but the occasional fruit was cultivated by plant creatures or crop spirits, which they either cultivated and used, or gave to Báihuā, which he sold, quickly growing his profits and the trading hall.

Mǎ Fáng happily looked back at Kōngxīn sǐ, watching her face glow as she passively gained qi. The amount wasn't huge, but it was consistent and increased her power by small increments, giving her a lot of future potential and power. As for the others, they were just happy to have finally left that place after everything that had happened recently, as they were hoping to get to better skies.
