Vicky and Zack interrupted

"Hi guys..." A voice suddenly interrupted their limping conversation in the kitchen, making both Zack and Victoria look back to the doorway in mild surprise. None of them had noticed the door opening to one of the other rooms, and they must both have wondered how a big guy like Brandon could sneak up on anyone - especially as he was currently leaning heavily on the door post, wearing only his boxers and an unmade shirt, and looking like he hadn't been sleeping for days. "Uh... Have you guys seen Ashley yet...?"

"Yeah, sure!" Both of them replied at once, and then glanced at eachother as if waiting for the other one to continue.

"I saw her on the way to the lake..." Zack was the first to speak up, with a need to explain himself as he could see a hint of suspicion in the blonde girl's eyes. "I met her when I got back from my walk. Shouldn't be more than ten minutes ago, at most."

"Ok, thanks." The other guy flashed him a grateful - if somewhat hazy smile, and then shuffled off again towards the loo.

With that out of the way there was again an embarrassed silence filling the kitchen, though it was soon interrupted once again by the next pair of sleepyheads to finally get out of their beds.

Both Heather and Gavin showed up in the doorway at the same time, with the first one playfully accusing the other for waking her up by practically jumping her in the sleep. What was actually true of the story was difficult to discern, though it should be obvious to anyone that Gavin hadn't been doing anything fishy on purpose at least.

Then they both fixed a couple of sandwiches each, and settled down across from one another by the table. While it was nothing new to see Gavin fiddling with his cellphone while eating, it was a little more surprising to see Heather following his example and to become just as distanced from the outside world.

"What now...?" Brandon asked them as he returned a short while later, and found both of them tapping away at their screens - Gavin with his sandwich in a well-practiced grip in his free hand, while Heather hadn't even started eating yet as she had both of her hands and eyes nailed to the phone. "Are you teaching her to play one of those word-something games with you, Gavin...?"

"Uhm, no...?" Gavin replied a little confused, as he'd been too immersed in the story he was writing to even notice that Heather had her phone up on the table as well. Even if he'd often get embarrassed or start blushing for little to no reason at all, he'd learned a long time ago to switch between his stories and the real world without a hint of what he'd actually been typing.

Heather at the other hand was suddenly disoriented and blushing like a little school girl as she looked up from her phone, and stuttered something quite unintelligible in reply to the question of what she was actually doing. Reading some hardcore erotica wasn't quite what she was used to being caught red handed with, and she eventually blamed her confusion on being dead-tired and possibly having a fever as well.

"Sounds bad." Brandon agreed with her, as she looked every bit as beat up as himself - if not even worse. "Did we bring any painkillers or something...?"

"I'll be fine with a little breakfast and rest!" The busty cheerleader reassured him, without any understanding that he might have been asking as much for his own sake as for her. But then she had a story to get back to after all, and she was happy like a kid on christmas eve to have found that her favorite thread had already been updated over night. And just when it was really getting exciting as well!

Little would she have guessed that the author was already typing away at the next part, while sitting directly in front of her within an arm's length reach. Just as little as Gavin could know that the model for much of his inspiration was having a huge turn-on by reading that very same story...
