Chapter 177 by Icequeen52 Icequeen52

What's next?

Deal

“And our other girlfriends are Ivy, Skylar and Paige. Ivy is an artificial spirit healer and plant mage, Skylar is a shadow mage and Paige is an earth mage.” I sum up real quick. “Woah woah okay, slow down, slow down. My tiny brain needs a second.” Lena says, massaging her temples. I giggle and give her a moment.

“Okay, who’s who?” She asks. “Ivy is the one that looks like Poison Ivy. She’s an artificial spirit I made, a healer, and a plant mage. She’s also my dom.” I throw in. “So you’re an ice mage and you can make artificial spirits? Latebloomers are rad.” She says. “I can actually do a lot more than that.” I say, conjuring a fireball in my hand.

Lena’s eyebrows shoot up. “Okay damn, we gotta talk about that.” She says, taking a breath. “So that’s Ivy, which ones are Skylar and Paige?” She asks. “Skylar was the one with silver hair. She’s a shadow elementalist, she’s fairly reserved and doesn’t talk a lot to people she doesn’t trust yet. She also has a pet wolf called Dave.” Lena nods, grinning, and motions for me to go on. “Paige is the goth one, she has black hair and is easily flustered. Paige and I are both subs under Ivy.” I say.

“Both the goth girls are subs huh?” Lena asks, amused. “Oi, I’m a switch! Ask Mia!” I retort. The aeromancer in question is giggling at the exchange. “The second one of us showed a hint of being a dom, you went full submissive Gem.” She teases. “Fuck you!” I reply, and her giggling turns into cackling. “Do it, coward.” I mentally reach out to Ivy with an idea, and she sends back a wave of enthusiasm and horniness. “We both will.” I wink, pointing at my head to indicate the mental connection.

“Oh nooo, I’m so scared, my hot girlfriends are gonna mess me up.” Mia mocks. Lena watches the exchange, biting her lip. “Hot…” She whispers under her breath. I turn to her, smirking. “We’ll need to talk a little more, but you’re definitely on the right track if you’re interested in us.” I say. Lena visibly swallows, and the redness in her cheeks diminishes slightly.

“Imma talk to Emma a lil more about y’all. She’ll wanna meet ya too, I reckon you’ll like her. A guild of gorgeous poly lesbians? Heck yeah I’m interested, and so far you two seem cool as hell. I get the sense that y’all aren’t super into just casual hookups though…?” She asks, leaving the remark open for comment. Mia jumps in to answer.

“Not with somebody we haven’t talked to a bit first. We’re all protective of our dynamic and if somebody’s gonna get involved with us, we wanna know what we’re getting involved with in them, and we want them to know what they’re getting involved with in us.” She says, and Lena nods. “I respect that. I’ve had my fair share of hookups and they’re fun, but not for everyone.” She says.

Mia and I voice our agreement, and the table falls into a comfortable silence as we all take another bite of our food. I take a sip of my hot chocolate, relishing in the minty chocolate taste, before I speak. “You wanted to talk about our powers, right Lena?” I prompt her. Her eyes light up once again.

“Yeah! What the heck do you mean you’re an ice mage and you can create artificial spirits AND use fire magic? Those are three different schools of magic, and I saw how powerful ya are with your ice magic. Just how powerful are ya girl?” She asks. I lean forward, clasping my hands together on the table, smiling.

“Pretty powerful, so I’ve been told. My main power isn’t ice magic, fire magic or artificial spirit magic. All of those are extensions of what my true main power is: I see things like a video game. Like Skyrim and other games, I can level up, get stronger, get quests and learn a whole bunch of different skills. I’m somewhat limited by my system into a particular style, but within that style I can learn a lot.” Lena nods, wide eyed and following along.

“I decided to go with a battle mage build. I can use fire and ice magic, I have Ivy as a summon, I can use arcane magic, and I’m fairly proficient in hand to hand combat. Part of my control over ice is that I can create things, including weapons for myself that come pre enchanted. I can create any melee weapon for any situation and thanks to a skill I have, I’m equally skilled with all of them.” I explain.

Lena whistles, impressed. “You’re a talented gal, I’ll give you that. And you’re the leader of a guild of hot lesbians?” I nod. “We live in a castle, inside a barrier that’s also an extension of my powers. The Fateweavers tell us that it’s literally impenetrable.” I allow myself a bit of boasting. The water mage raises an eyebrow.

“How does that work? I thought any barrier could be broken into with enough ****.” She asks. I nod. “Usually that’s the case, but apparently not with mine. It’s supposedly not linked to any place on earth or in the abyss, so there’s no regular entry point that anybody can get through. I have a spell that I use to access it, and I can pull other people there with me.”

Both Lena’s eyebrows shoot up now. “You really are something special.” She says, admiration flowing into her voice. “And so you and ya guild wanna what? Take over Sydney?” She asks . “Kinda? The hope is that we can make it a safer place, but I guess we are taking over the area.” I reply, not enjoying the truth of that statement but acknowledging it nonetheless.

“So y’all wanna see if I wanna help y’all take over Sydney and get rid of all the cuntwaffles in the city?” Lena continues. I snort and Mia chokes on her milkshake at the unexpected word. “An accurate description of the gangs around here.” I surmise after composing myself. “But yes, that’s one of the things we were hoping for. Getting closer to you personally, as well as seeing if you want to join our guild.” I restate.

The brunette nods. “I really wanna say yes, but I also gotta be smarter than that.” She lays out. Mia and I signal our understanding. Lena sighs, seeming somewhat conflicted. “You said your home barrier is like unfindable or something, right?” She asks for clarification. “From what we’ve been told, I and probably Gaia have the only ways in or out.” I affirm.

She seems to come to some sort of resolution. Her expression turns serious. “Okay, here’s the tea girls. My first priority is Emma and our relationship together. She’s my world, and I’d die if anything happened to her. I know I joke a lot and put on a brave face, but I was scared shitless in that mana factory.”

“I couldn’t stop thinking about how it would be for her, to wake up one day and for me to just be….gone. Poof. Disappeared into thin air. I couldn’t stop thinking about how she’d feel, having no explanation, no warning, no closure or anything. That’d be incredibly traumatising and really hard to move on from.” Lena says, her tone sombre.

I feel every bit of emotion from her. The way she talks has me picturing the scene in my head, despite never having met Emma. And she’s right, having your partner of three years just up and disappear like that would be horrifying. And because Emma has no knowledge of the abyss, so she’d never consider that Lena had been kidnapped by a magical gang.

“I wanna make a deal with y’all. I dunno what’s gonna happen between us personally, I feel like we vibe great so far, but nothing’s guaranteed. But I think we can work something out that we all get something out of, ya know, you scratch my back, I scratch yours. Gemma, you do some pretty crazy stuff right?” Lena asks.

I nod, having an idea of where this is going. “If ya can find a way to bring Emma into the abyss, and if ya let the two of us stay in your unfindable barrier till we can figure out a way to rid this place of dickheads, then I’ll help you punch the dickheads. I dunno about Emma, I guess it depends on how well she’d fight, but I think she’d wanna help too.” Lena lays out.

I look at Mia, raising my eyebrow questioningly. She grins in response. “I dunno about joining ya guild, that’s somethin’ I’d think about after we know each other more. But I can promise ya help with taking over Sydney, if you can keep my girlfriend and I safe.” Lena reaffirms. I look back at the beautiful water mage, and hold out my hand. “Deal.” I say. She shakes my hand with a smile.
