Double bed

Zack and Victoria enter the room that they’ll be sharing to find a wardrobe, a desk with a chair, a closed door and a double bed. A freaking double bed. Zack mentally thanked all gods and deities that he could think of, it seemed that Lady Luck was firmly at his side that day. But he couldn’t **** Victoria to sleep on the same bed as him if she didn’t want to.

“You can have the bed, I’ll just sleep on the floor.” He offers.

Victoria frowns. “Zack, have you seen how hard the floor is?” She asks, with a look of concern. “Nonsense, this bed is big enough for both of us.”

“If you really don’t mind, thanks then.” Zack smiles. He goes the closed door and opens it, revealing a nice bathroom. “Looks like we got one of the bathrooms.”

“Oh, good. We don’t have to run into another room if we want to use it.” Victoria smiles as she unpacked her bag. “Hey, Zack. Did you bring too much stuff?” She asks. “I think this wardrobe is spacious enough for both of us to use too.”

“Nope, I brought only one bag.” Zack answers as he approaches Victoria and the wardrobe. He then notices that she brought only one too. “It should do well for us.”

About ten minutes later, they finished organizing their things inside the wardrobe. As they did, Zack wondered how he could find out if Victoria had the same feelings the he had. He was determined to confront her about the issue but thought that it was better to wait for a few days before doing so. Maybe he could find out more in the meantime.

“Do you think Chloe will be okay with Kurt?” Victoria asks sitting on the bed.

Zack sits on the chair. “What do you mean?” He asks back, wondering if Victoria also thought that Kurt was a tremendous asshole.

She shrugs. “I don’t know, she seemed a bit uncomfortable to me, that’s all.” A thoughtful expression forms on her face. “Think we should switch? I go with her and you with Kurt?”

Zack takes a deep breath. “Chloe is a tough girl, Victoria.” He says, feeling horrible about it. “I’m sure that she can take care of herself.”

Victoria smiles. “If you say so. You’re her best friend, you surely know her better than I do.”

Both of them let out a little laugh. But as tough as Chloe was, Victoria was also right, Zack saw the look on Kurt’s face when he read Chloe’s name on the paper, not to mention his comments about Victoria earlier. Zack remembered feeling very uneasy about the two incidents.

”The thing is, knowing Chloe like I do, she would never let me switch.” Zack smiles. ”Not if it meant that I would lose a shot with Victoria.”

“Well, what should we do now?” Victoria asks.

The sleeping arrangements were taken care of, now what will Zack do? Will he do something alone or will he ask Victoria to come along?
