Chapter 6

Sore nuts
My stuff
Memories
So here I am sitting naked in my car smoking a cigarette while parked in Selena's immaculate garage.
Yes you heard me right immaculate garage. Juan even keeps the garage spotless. I love this car. It was a present my parents gave me on my eighteenth birthday a few months back. And this upcoming morning one of Selena's familiars, probably Juan is going to take it to a car crusher at some junk yard. My badass red Trans Am Firebird is going to be squashed. Turned into a metal cube.
My parents gave me this car. Tom and Diane Valentine. I'll never see them again. All I have left of them are a few photographs in my wallet. I'll never sit in the kitchen eating breakfast while they hurriedly run around looking for their car keys or briefcases and worry about getting to their offices late. Dad at his accounting firm and mom at her office at Golden Books where she's an editor of children's books. They'll never yell at me again for breaking curfew or kicking a boy in the nuts. I'll never again go on family trips with them. I'll never see my nine year old brother Danny again. A few days ago I promised to take him to see that new movie Star Wars. We were going to go see it at the Mays Mall theatre. He's really into all that sci-fi stuff. You know Planet of the Apes, Star Trek and Space 1999.
I'll never see my friends again. Kimberly my fellow ballbuster. We used to talk about castrating her cheating scumbag ex boyfriend Derek together, just cutting his balls off. Tanya, she could always find the best weed. Her and I made out once while fingerbanging each other. Jill who was always dragging us to garage sales looking for nick-knacks.
I was supposed to graduate with them in a few weeks. Now I'm a missing person. I can't imagine what my family and friends are going through right now. Well I can't think about that now. I have to get all my shit out of my car before the sun comes up. I have to concentrate on the here and now.
I have my purse and my wallet with some photos of my family and friends. I have my cassette tapes, cigs and weed. I think that's all of it. There's some maps and my car's registration and insurance papers in the glove compartment but I'm not going to need those.
Yep I think I have everything. All my personal items I'm going to want to keep. I smoke one last cig and doobie in my badass car.
Goodbye family and friends. I'm going to miss you.
