The Magistrate of New Rotterdam put an end to the bloodbath!

As you and Elijah are running along the streets, you and him are suddenly snatched from behind and drag into the buildings! Soon, you and the ghoul are let go and turn around to see who were the ones that grabbed you and Elijah earlier.

"Who are-" You said but then, you and the ghoul found that the ones who are standing before you and him are none other but Brittany, Valeria and Rain!

"Be quite!" Rain whispered as she's placing her index finger on your mouth.

Then, you and Elijah go to watch what is going on outside at the window from upstairs.

Out there is nothing but a bloodbath! The troops of the local garrison are either arresting anyone they deemed to be suspicious of rioting or killing them by firing shots at them if they resisted the arrests!

"HALT!" The Magistrate of New Rotterdam yelled, resulting in the King's troops to cease what they are doing.

And standing behind the Magistrate of New Rotterdam along with his own troops who are armed with rifles, pistols and swords, and they also dressed completely differently from who dressed someone quite differently from the troops who are part of the local garrison by completely wearing black outfits and their black helmets have medals on the centers and little spears on the tops while those who are Muslims simply wear black fezzes, indicating that these are law enforcement officers.

But sadly, the law enforcement officers appeared to be slightly outnumbered.

"Who are they and how did they manage to stop the King's troops so easily?" - You asked no one in particular since you expected no answer from anyone around you.

"With respect, Magistrate Jansen. This does not concerned you or the law enforcement at all! In fact, you and those men behind you are supposed to be helping us suppressing this riot even!" The garrison's commanding officer replied back as he's stepping forward to meet the young Magistrate.

"I am certain you and your men have done enough, Colonel De Haas." Magistrate Jansen said, unfazed by the fact that he and the law enforcement officers are being outnumbered at all.

"But-" Colonel De Haas said but the son of Hugo Jansen interrupted him again.

"Or should I reminded you who my mother is? If I asked my father to tell her family's bank to either stopped lending loans to the businesses of your "friends" or even seize "their" businesses that depended heavily on the loans from my mother's family's banks, I wondered how can "they" survived once their businesses have been seized?" Magistrate Jansen asked while looking at them completely unfazed.

The responds by the Colonel and his troops are simply widened eyes and silent. Their businesses such as bookshops and pharmacies with soda fountains have been opened illegally under the names of their "friends" who are not even real and also depending heavily on the loans to fund them and also to feed themselves since the salaries provided by the government are not enough for them.

"... call all men back and bring the ones we arrested in for interrogation at our quarter." Colonel De Haas said before he turned his back on the Magistrate and walk away.

"But-" One of his troops objected but he simply given him a glare, which he simply nodded in fear and leave with the others to put out a call for all military personnel to go back to their quarter with the ones they arrested for interrogation.

Once all military personnel begin to return to their quarter, Hugo Jansen approached his son to congratulate him.

"Well done, son. You saved many lives today." Hugo said as he's looking at his son proudly.

"Just do my duty, dad." The Magistrate of New Rotterdam said before he turned around and head back to the Magistrate's manor, which is also the building that housed the law enforcement's officers.

"So tell me, Roeland. Will you come home for dinner tonight? You mother, your sister and I have the cooks prepared your favorite dishes." Hugo said as she's walking alongside with his son.

"If I can go, then I will. However, I cannot make any promises." Roeland said as he's walking with his father.

Back inside the building where you are hiding with your companions, you are still cannot believed that the situation was so easily dissolved just like that!

But then, you are suddenly reminded of one thing!

"So... how did you girls come out here without anyone at the table noticing? I am certain you were girls seated near me, right?" You asked them as you turned to look at them.

"Well, everyone was preoccupied with the drama that was being unfolded between the King and the nobles, so only the servants noticed us." Valeria said as she's looking back at you.

"And I doubted they said anything because they do not wanted to interrupt those who are socially superior to them." Brittany said as she's crossing her arms.

"But why did you girls even leave in the first place? What were so urgent for you three to leave so suddenly?" You asked them, wondering what motivated them to leave in the first place.

"Well... we have morning sicknesses." Brittany, Valeria and Rain said nervously in unison.
