"As for using Open to escape from here. It won't work. We're in an area disconnected to the Tower proper. Essentially a unique otherwise unreachable extra floor of the Tower that consists only of this arena. Open in all it's forms is restricted directly by the Tower to prevent any kind of long distance or interplanar teleportation, simply because too many things can go wrong. After all the Tower doesn't want a Chosen accidentally leaving the Tower entirely. So, no there's no way out except to beat me or die," Alide explains. Yulia tries it just to be sure and indeed the spell fizzles. Alide sighs.

"No more holding off. It's time, Yulia. If I end up dying at your hands... I'm happy it was you," she says and then moves her hand forward. Yulia does the same as both cast Open Sesame on the other and open fire.

Alide's bolt hits Yulia in the chest and Yulia's plasma bolt hits Alide in the side. Yulia staggers back and grabs a potion downing it before also downing a cure all knowing that Alide's bolts are likely all going to cause status effects before she fires off a blizzard.

Alide covers her face as the blizzard buffets her and she fires more shots at Yulia. Yulia knows that dodging them is nearly useless and simply does her best to ensure any hit she takes is to her non-vital areas. She winces as each bolt stabs into her chest, stomach, arms, legs. Doing whatever she can to avoid taking hits to her head, neck or direct shots to her heart as she returns fire.

Surprisingly the open sesame also seems to be negating Alide's magic resistance and she is looking worse for wear after taking a fireball, icicle, **** lance and lightning strike to her form. Yulia however through liberal application of potions and cure alls is managing to do pretty well.

"Am I really going to win this... Just because I have healing potions... and you don't?" Yulia mutters and Alide's response is just heavy breathing as the blizzard continues to strike her injured body.

Soon Alide is struggling to stay standing as her body is bloodied and burned from the magic attacks and she drops to her knee, "D... Damn it..." she mutters and her bows slip from her hands clattering to the ground, "Y... Yulia..." she says weakly and Yulia hesitates and then drops the blizzard and cautiously approaches.

"Yes?" she asks cautiously and Alide closes her eyes.

"You win... It wasn't. The glorious final battle I wanted," Alide admits and then sighs, "you're strong, Yulia. Stronger than I ever expected. This... Wasn't even close," she says and laughs, "I underestimated you too much and now... I've paid the price," she says as she raises her head and collapses backwards onto the ground.

"I'll miss this... All of this, but like I said. I'm happy... I'm happy it was you. I've killed a lot of people, some deserved it, some didn't. Some I've felt bad about, some I've barely ever thought of again. If I had killed you... I don't know if I'd ever have been able to live with myself again. You're a good person, Yulia. I hope you save your world," she says and suddenly both of them are back in the Tower and Yulia's allies are moving again, seemingly confused as to what happened and Alide, lying on the ground still closes her eyes.

"It's time. End this..." she announces.
