Alide Again

Yulia kicks and struggles, she tries to reach for potions, but the vine wraps around her hands pinning them as well.

Alide again starts the fight by throwing envenomed knives and anti-magic darts at the party. Dahlia gasps as she's hit with a knife and a dart, "Ah... Rude, sis!" she growls. Isalia tosses her a cure potion as everyone else downs one and Alide starts taking shots with her bow. Sally does her best to move in front and get in close to Alide, blocking her shots and eventually forcing her to focus on defending herself. The needle mace is unfortunately hardly effective as it's poison doesn't affect Alide and it's otherwise not a very effective mace.

Goma sounds the horn as Talwa uses firestorm to free Yulia. Yulia collapses to the ground, clutching her throat and coughing as she recovers her breath. Cherchiel rolls into a ball and charges into Alide while she's busy fighting against Sally and Alide gasps as she's hit and knocked off her feet at which point Cherchiel unrolls and stabs at her. Alide rolls back and jumps back onto her feet avoiding the attack just barely and is now focused on dodging Cherchiel and Sally.

Isalia focuses on her and hits her with life drain, but it doesn't seem very effective. Taking potshots at her with the rifle however are much more effective. She's barely able to avoid the multiple attacks aimed at her. The sneak attack from Lri and Lemiel joining in with her swords keep Alide constantly on the move no longer even trying to fire off her own shots as she's **** to spend all her energy and attention on just surviving the onslaught of incoming attacks.

Maple takes aim with the targeting helmet and rail gun and fires and Alide screams as the bolt fires through her leg and she collapses backwards onto her ass and just barely manages to roll out of the way of more attacks, getting back onto her feet, but she's much slower now, unable to put much weight on that leg as she continues to desperately avoid more attacks.

Even the inclusion of grenades, Dahlia's Ice Rain and Pressure don't allow anyone to score a clear hit despite her slowed, weakened state. Maple is taking aim again with the one thing that will automatically hit, when it suddenly becomes unnecessary. Goma hits her with puppet. It's barely effective. She's at best held for a millisecond, but... she was barely a millisecond ahead of all the attacks coming for her anyway.

In that instant she's hit with a flurry of attacks. Icicle's pelt her, tearing through her clothes and skin, plasma fire erupts over her, Lemiel and Cherchiel both manage to stab her in the chest and stomach with their plasma blade and angelic blades.

Alide, stabbed, burned, impaled and generally mutilated collapses to her knees. Barely looking like herself anymore with the amount of damage accumulated on her body in an instant and then... Everything changes. It's like the world has jumped suddenly and Alide is unharmed and everyone else is frozen. She sighs and Yulia raises her head, finally recovered from her **** to find she's the only one other than Alide moving.

"Final gambit. Slayer's Duel," Alide states and raises her bow aiming it at Yulia and then her and Yulia are standing alone in a small arena, "I never wanted this Yulia. I had so hoped you wouldn't go after what's behind the door. Yes, part of me wants this to be over, but... I don't want to die!" Alide yells and then sighs raising a hand to her head, "I don't want to kill either. I hate this part of the job, but... I love the rest of it! I love getting to go to different parts of the tower, meet, befriend and... occasionally fuck the Chosen! I don't want this to end, so... I can't let you live... Not now. I'm sorry, Yulia," she says and Yulia rubs her throat as she stands.

"I can't die here. My whole world needs me to survive this and beat the tower!" Yulia responds and Alide nods.

"This is the Slayer's Duel. My last and most special ability as Slayer of the Chosen. You and me Yulia, we fight to the ****, do you think you have what it takes to beat me in one on one combat?" she asks and Yulia looks away.

"I don't know, but I don't think I have a choice," Yulia responds and Alide smiles at her sadly.

"However this ends, Yulia... I'm glad I met you," she says and Yulia downs a cure potion and a health and mana potion.

"I'm glad I met you too," Yulia returns.
