Ren confesses his feelings

Ren inhales a deep breath to calm his nerves.

“Yang… there is something I need to tell you. I hope you will understand. I really like you but there is someone else that I have feelings for too. I don’t want to break her heart. Or yours either. I’m lost… I don’t know what I’m doing...” Ren confesses.

“Are you official with her?” Yang asks softly.

“No. I’m too terrified to make that step. When you have known someone since you were a child, moving on to becoming more than friends carries many risks… I don’t want to spoil what I have,” Ren answers.

“You’re in love with Nora, aren’t you?” Yang asks.

“Yes. I love her,” Ren confesses.

“And me? How do you feel about me?” Yang adds.

“I want you just as much as I want her! Is that… a bad thing to say?” Ren replies earnestly.

Yang smiles. She withdraws her hand from Ren’s face and places her hands behind her back. Hearing Ren's dilemma has given Yang the perfect idea to assure everyone involved gets what they want.

“There is nothing wrong with playing the field if you aren’t committed to anyone. I might be able to help you with your Nora situation,” Yang says.

“Help me? You would help me get with Nora?!” Ren responds in confusion.

“Would you like my help?” Yang asks suggestively.

“What kind of help are you offering?” Ren replies with a raised eyebrow.

“Lessons in love… if you really love Nora, I think you should make love to her. I think you should lure her inside the storeroom where we keep all the yoga mats. I think you should tell her how special she is to you. I think you should kiss her, take her clothes off and please her in all the ways she’s been dreaming of,” Yang answers.

Ren's eyes open wide in astonishment! He was not expecting Yang's advice to be so explicit!

"I... I don’t think I can...” Ren replies.

"That means you need some practice!” Yang says with enthusiasm.

Yang twists her shoulders while standing in place waiting for Ren's feedback on her suggestion. Her proposition to be Ren's love guru was enticing. Though Ren wondered what will happen to his dynamic with Yang after doing the deed with Nora. Ren concludes that it was best to cross that bridge when he comes to it.

“Would you be willing to practice with me?” Ren asks timidly.

”Absolutely! Think of me as your personal trainer! I have a few stretches in mind to work on before the Vytal tournament begins. I will text you details on when and where our lessons will begin!” Yang answers cheerily.

Yang turns on her heel, retaining a sultry gaze upon Ren before walking away.

The atmosphere around Beacon campus was buzzing with anticipation in the lead up to the Vytal festival tournament! Only 8 teams from each huntsman academy can enter into the tournament. Beacon’s final cut made by Glynda Goodwitch prioritised students who contained the Breach Incident as her first picks.

Team RWBY and Team JNPR were shoe-ins despite being first years. Glynda had high hopes for Team CFVY as the only second year team who helped contain the Breach Incident.

Conversations on who would partake in the doubles round grew intense within Team RWBY after their participation was confirmed.

It was not just a matter of choosing an anchor that could carry them through the single round matches. They had to anticipate what kind of team compositions everyone else would use for their doubles round to make it through!

Yang was confident that she could be Team RWBY’s anchor for the single round. And given Weiss’ versatility with dust, Team RWBY eventually agreed that she was best equipped to handle the variability of potential match-ups. Team JNPR on the other hand knew that Nora and Pyrrha could simply brute **** their way through the doubles round!

Next, the topic of how Team RWBY planned to disclose to the world that they were all futanari came to the forefront. They asked Glynda Goodwitch for advice on how they should go about it.

Glynda suggested arranging an interview with the press. It is standard procedure for teams participating in the Vytal tournament to have the option for scheduling interviews before the tournament begins. Glynda cautions that they may be given questions that make them feel uncomfortable, especially to Weiss. It was best to communicate what information they wanted to put out to the world and things you refuse to disclose beforehand.

Yang sends a text to Ren confirming that her first lesson in love will happen the same day as Team RWBY’s interview with the press. She encourages him to watch the interview later!

Lisa Lavender had the privilege of interviewing Team RWBY in a special news segment for the Vytal tournament. She was most keen on meeting with Weiss. The impact of this interview will be felt around the world because of her connections to the SDC.

Lisa Lavender agreed to steer clear of any questions regarding sexual preferences to avoid backlash from socially conservative viewers, particularly in Atlas.

There were several standout moments that would make Team RWBY’s interview with Lisa Lavender legendary!

Ruby explains why she chose to keep being a futanari secret because of her personal experiences with witnessing discrimination. Unlike Ruby, Yang wasn’t secretive about being a futanari at their combat school- people would spread a lot of rumours about Yang as a result.

When they connected the dots that Ruby might have a futa gene too, people started talking about her differently too. Her classmates would say ignorant things like “I bet your grandma is actually your granddad” or "is it true that futa genes make you hairier?" Upon learning that all her Beacon teammates were futanari near the end of her first semester, Ruby knew they all had to break their silence on the mistreatment they’ve put up with!

Weiss carried on from Ruby’s talking points by expressing how she lived in terror that people would discover she was a futanari at her prep school. She basically had to change by herself in the toilet before and after any PE classes. Thankfully, Weiss’ classmates either never found out her secret or knew but kept quiet.

The reason why Weiss has been shielded from discrimination is because people tried to pretend that she wasn’t different. Weiss doesn’t believe that is fair anymore. It is not Weiss who is the problem. It is the world which has problems! Weiss declares Team RWBY refuses to let the world put them in a box because of what they are!

Blake decided to reveal that she is a Faunus in an off-script tangent. She makes it a point that Faunus and futanari are often painted with the same brush when it comes to discrimination. Something she’s sure her team is familiar with due to people often conflating being a futanari with having Faunus blood.

Boldly, Blake proclaims that conforming to a status quo that hates you is a far worse fate than standing up for yourself. She anticipates backlash directed at her team for this interview and tells the haters to bring it on!

Yang discusses how being a futanari has affected her love life. She describes an incident when a man attempted to grope her crotch after Yang told them she is a futanari. He, along with many other men, interpret someone disclosing that they are a futanari as synonymous with being given permission to touch them.

Yang stresses to the camera that someone telling you that they are futanari does not mean they have given you consent to touch them! Nor does it mean that they are coming on to you! She highlights how harassment of futanari is often overlooked because many people tend to assume futanari are hypersexual. Futanari do have higher sex drive than women, however that doesn't make them free use!

Team RWBY gave a special thanks to Glynda Goodwitch for supporting them so much once the interview concluded. Their interview created shockwaves across Remnant immediately!

Yang stayed off social media to avoid absorbing any reactions until tomorrow. She had to dedicate her energy to her pupil tonight. They prepared a bag with massage oil, towels, wipes, incense, some water and electric candles for mood lighting.

Yang set out to the storeroom where she planned to meet Ren ahead of schedule to prepare for his arrival. She placed an orange yoga mat in the middle of the storeroom and began to meditate.

Ren found Yang waiting for him in the storeroom, illuminated by artificial candlelight. The smell of incense welcomed Ren inside as he shut the door behind him.
