Something Experimental

Why not something weird? This was in some ways a celebration of exploring new things. Sammy and the guys seemed to be in the mood as well and you all agreed to give it a try. After some murmuring Jeff gave voice to the consensus.

Jeff : "I think we'd like to try the experimental option, I want to see what you can really do. We can handle it."

Cerve smirked at the challenge.

Cerve : "Just remember, you are never in any real danger."

As she spoke the walls of the room seemed to melt and reform into stone adorned with fancy portraits. In a few seconds the only thing that remained was the impressive table which now sported a few stacks of tiles, decks and playing pieces that weren't there a moment ago. There is a little figure representing each of you on a small tile labeled "Dining room". The figures were fairly intricate representations, complete with your clothing and general figure.

The others were still being awed by their first time watching the room transform around them while you studied the components. There were three decks labeled 'events', 'rewards' and 'transformations' and a large stack of tiles similar to the "Dining room" one turned upside down so you can't see what's on them. You gulped, what did Cerve have in mind?

James : "Woah, that was impressive."

Brian : "Yeah... This is crazy... Alex- I mean Alexis you were really holding out on us."

Alexis : "I was going to show you guys but it's been busy, I haven't really had a chance to play around with it that much myself yet."

Jeff has finally spotted the board and is examining the figure of himself.

Jeff : "Ok, that's a cool trick, but what's the game?"

As he spoke you looked around Cerve was nowhere to be seen but a portly man you didn't recognize was there carrying a tray with another round of drinks.

Alexis : "Is that you Cerve"

Jeeves : "I'm afraid I don't know anyone by that name. I am Jeeves, the manor's butler at your service."
