Can she turn this fight around?
She's not quite done (cleaning)
[Roll: 8]
Jesebel struck out with her whip to try to land another hit on the vampire bride, only for her opponent to vanish into a cloud of mist again. As the hunter cast her eyes around her, waiting for another attack, the voice of Demmerain reached the room.
"Ah, my lovely bride, I see you've been disciplining our unruly new maid. But there is no need for that, as she's already falling into her new role. Just watch: Maid, clean the library at once."
Jesebel's eyes dimmed. "Yes Mistress," she said, before leaning down and picking the fallen bookshelf from the floor, followed by picking up fallen books and returning them to their proper places.
"Should I strike now, my love?" the bride asked aloud. "She's so vulnerable."
"No, there is no need," the lead vampire stated. "Should you try to attack again, she met yet mar your face further. But if left undisturbed, she will complete her task. Come to my room, let me kiss you better, and we shall leave cleaning up this mess to the one who made it," Demmerain stated.
"Yes my love," the vampire bride replied, her cloud of mist sliding from the room without hindrance.
Jesebel, meanwhile, continued her work. Once she'd righted the bookshelf and set the books back in their proper places, she went about dutifully dusting everything.
After over an hour of work, she completed her task and control over her body returned to her. Upon realizing what had happened, all she could do was scream, "Damnit!"
Her will was being ground down, and she had to do something soon before she was reduced to nothing more than a mere servant of the monster she had come here to slay.
