How long does the storm last?

Just long enough for lunch

Chapter 6 by Miss-Emmie Miss-Emmie

[[Roll: 12]]

As Libet waited for the rain to stop, she recalled what Tria had said about stealing food. It wouldn't be a problem if Libet didn't get caught, right?

Looking around, Libet found a fairly flat rock, washed it off in the rain, and then set one of her fish atop it. Then, all she had to do was conjure a bit of heat with low level fire magic. The stone began to heat up, and in turn the fish began to cook.

The rain wasn't letting up, but at least that gave Libet time to cook. Soon enough, her little cave was filled with the delicious scent of cooked fish. Although there wasn't anything to put on it, Libet's goblin tastebuds didn't seem to mind as she hungrily devoured the fish. Still feeling hungry, she decided to cook and eat a second one.

Just as she was finishing this one and considering a third, the rain finally let up.

To hide the evidence of her meal, Libet tossed the remaining scraps into the back of her little cave and moved the dirt with earth magic to cover them up. She also washed her mouth out thoroughly with water magic. Hopefully that would hide the smell if Tria tried sniffing her breath again.

With all of that settled, Libet went back to work fishing.

Over the course of the next few hours, her control began to show slight improvements and she ended up with a dozen fish by the time she was feeling worn out. Unsure of the situation back in the village, Libet decided to head back and see how everyone else had fared through the storm.
