Fantasize about the Statue

You stare into the spiral, statue's eye intoxicating as you see before you the skin on the statue mend itself, her becoming a gorgeous woman. The spiral starts seeming to swirl, and you begin to follow the woman as she walks through the spiral, sexily swaying her hips as she leads the way. You, like a fool, follow. Amazingly, you can actually walk through, as you find yourself on a black sand beach, a river flowing near to you. The sand burns a little, so you get up and brush your hands off. Huh, never seen glowing sand before, you think. Come to think of it, you're not sure you can actually see the other side of the river.

Time passes idly, though you're not sure by how much. Eventually, you hear the sound of a chariot coming as you turn and behold a woman in a light green toga, flowers growing wherever the wheels of the chariot tread. "Get in, quickly." You oblige, stepping into the chariot right as you see in the distance some sort of figure approach. "So why did you think it was a good idea to fantasize about the daughter of Loki?" You blush, inquiring as to how she knew. "You made it across the Styx alive, and Charon is nowhere to be seen. Doesn't exactly take a genius to figure out what happened when you've been living down here as long as I have." As long as she ha- then it hits you as you realize that this is Persephone. Seems she had to bail you out. Well, shit. Now you feel bad. "We're heading back to my house, and from there we'll figure out what to do next." Seems she's not exactly the happiest with you. Well, you can't exactly blame her. You'd be angry with you, too, if you had to go out of your way to rescue some fool who thought with their loins rather than their head. Eventually, the chariot pulls up to a house, you being in a vastly different area than before. This area is populated with ashen fields and dead trees. Lovely scenery you sarcastically think to yourself. Still, it is definitively better than the area you first arrived at. She leads you inside, and sits you at a table, at the end of it. "Dinner will be ready shortly," she states; "apologies that we don't have any reclining seats; good help is hard to find in the land of the dead, and there's about zero chance that the typical setup would work without servants." You see six other chairs at the table, with a conspicuous absent place on your right where a seventh would go.
