Chapter 92

First night out in a while !
And an easy camp to setup.
It seems like you didn't lose much of your ability to setup camp, since it only took minutes for Rei and you to do so. Not much time passed, before the both of you were sitting in front of a fire, eating your dinner and watching the stars above your heads. This felt like all that happened before was just a dream, yet you knew that this wasn't the case, as you could feel the primal magic course through your veins in this very moment.
"This feels... Nice." You ended up saying. "It's been quite a while since we last had an evening like this, hasn't it ?"
"Yes, you're right on this one." Softly replied Rei, her tail wagging slowly as her eyes were locked on the stars high above. "It feels like we're back at square one, when we were only worrying about how to gain money."
She giggled after finishing her sentence, and you nodded when she turned her head to look at you. Then, the both of you locked eyes, for a single instant. This was all either of you needed, a simple exchange under the moonlight, just like before.
But this wasn't what you needed to focus on, and your mind changed focus, getting back on just what will happen once you'll arrive at Nakemo Village. You hoped that nothing strange or bad will happen this time, since it looked like everywhere you were going, something completely unexpected happened, may it be you becoming a public enemy, getting almost killed by strangers, or... Getting almost killed by a flying sword from nowhere. This one was really strange, but the more you thought about it, the more it became funny...
"I would have invited you to sleep with me tonight." Suddenly said Rei, a faint blush on her cheeks. "But I don't know if this is a good thing since we both have our tents up, sorry."
"Oh..." You muttered, a blush creeping up your cheeks as well as you were thinking of an answer that didn't make you sound like a pervert, even if you understood what she meant. "No need to be sorry for that, I don't mind sleeping in my tent. I mean... That's not a problem if I don't.... Help me..." You ended up saying, your voice clearly sounding lost in your answer, which made Rei laugh, before she replied.
"Don't worry, I see where you are going. Maybe we'll do that later, alright ?"
Once again, you nodded, this time to avoid having to find another answer that could end up just as nonsensical as your previous one. You then got into your tent, getting ready for a good night's sleep, and thinking that you haven't got an eventful day in a while, since you almost felt like you were spending most of your time sleeping.
After the now usual uneventful sleep, you woke up quite early in the morning this time, getting out of your tent quickly... To find Rei's tent empty, with no sign of her around, apart from footsteps headed west. It took a second for you to grab your weapons, before starting to follow those footsteps.
And they were going far, making you walk for ten minutes or so, before finally finding Rei, asleep against a tree, her body shivering from the cold of the morning. She seemed to be sleeping peacefully, and this fact relaxed you quite a bit, so you starting thinking of a way to help warm her up, and no, your primal magic wasn't a viable way at all.
After a moment of thought, you finally decided to take off your cloak, laying it on her so that she's mostly covered by it. Even if you wanted to know what she was doing here, you didn't want to wake her up, since you knew just how much having a good sleep was important for your health, so you would have to wait for her to awaken if you wanted to know what she was doing here.
You sat besides Rei, and after what felt like an eternity, you felt her move slightly, announcing her awaking. She stirred awake slowly, rubbing her eyes for a moment, before looking around her, her foxy ears propped up, seemingly looking lost. Her eyes eventually fell on you, and she said.
"Hello, Adam... I think I encountered a ghost tonight..."
You didn't say anything as she proceeded to explain how she felt a strange presence not far away after you got in your tent. After she felt it, she got up to search for it, and a while later, she got there, finding out that this presence was in fact a spirit, spirit of a vixen, as it stood, who screamed in the air when she saw Rei, before disappearing in an explosion of strange mist.
"I think this is why I ended up falling asleep there..." She concluded her story with. "But didn't we say yesterday that we needed to find a caravan ? Now is the best time to do so !"
You couldn't even say anything...

Coming To An Unknown World
Or how to NOT behave after waking up in another world
After waking up with an hazy mind in the middle of what doesn't seem like home, but you're not sure since you don't remember anything about what's your home, you start a quest to try and go back from where you came, potentially changing your mind and/or saving this world in the meantime... But hey, at least you can encounter girls and create an harem while doing this, so you won't have to only fight for your life and to understand why you appeared here in the first place.
