Meeting the Rest of the Squad

It took Shepard about ten seconds walking off the transport ship she'd come here on before she was approached by the Commandoes. Eight of them, all looking beautiful as all Asari did. Shepard personally found it creepy: Rarely could she tell Asari apart by their face unless she got to know them better. Call it Racism, call it laziness, Shepard didn't care. The blue aliens always looked so similar to her, as though their faces morphed into something they knew would be pleasing to her. She would likely learn who was who, but it would take her a bit. Thus, she told them apart simply by the Sargent wearing a separate headpiece, one of gold.

The Squad stopped near Shepard, the soldier nodding to them as they all stood at attention. The Sargent stepped forward, giving Shepard a Salute as she did so. "Welcome to Thessia Shepard. It's a pleasure to have you here, commander- Sorry, Captain."

"Stick with Commander; at this point, it's near my name," Shepard joked, though only partly. She still didn't like her promotion to Captain; she blamed it for her new role as a diplomat. "I assume you are the squad I am to be with? I apologize if I don't learn names quickly."

The Sargent kept smiling. "Not a problem, Shepard. Yes, we are to be the ones you are with. I am Sargent Taunlea T'dala. This is my second, Baes Shirus," Taunela said, pointing to a shorter, slightly more Purple Asari. That was all Shepard could tell, but it was different, at least at a glance. Again, both were nines or tens, as were the rest of their race, both with decent-sized breasts, though not as large as a Matriarch's were. "I'm sure the others are eager to meet you as well, but for now, we need to get you settled. Care to join us at the base?"

"My stuff should already be there. Let's go," Shepard said, unknowingly following the Asari into what would prove to be one of the hardest fights she would ever have.
