Deployment to Thessia (Post Reaper War)
(Route plan: Shepard get's "aliened" by a bunch of Asari Futas)
Jane Shepard was not happy with the current deployment. Then again, she rarely was so delighted with her deployments these days. This wasn't like before when she was often in the thick of the fighting, such as on Elysium or Torfan, or leading a crack team on daring missions, such as when she was dealing with the Reapers. Nowadays, the veteran was sent on missions that she despised: Political missions. This was what was needed, in all honesty; she wouldn't dispute that. Even after the Reaper War had happened, there were still often people who needed a kick in the damn pants to get them to do what was required of them.
And Shepard was the perfect candidate for that role: The Commander held sway over a lot of races for her work in saving them from the Reapers, both on earth and often on their home worlds. Of course, if reason didn't work, Shepard also was not afraid to make threats and get physical. This scandalized many people, but Shepard rarely threw the first punch, and never without reason. And as a Spectre, she was above most local laws, especially as the Council was eager to get places in line. If they had to overlook Shepard occasionally getting rough, so be it: she was damn good at getting everyone to keep playing nice while the Galaxy rebuilt, even five years later. And no one wanted to risk hostilities now.
Speaking of, that was why Shepard was sent here in the first place. Though the Asari's standing was far weaker now, with many races weary of them after hoarding Prothean tech and near dooming the Galaxy, they were still clever political figures. Not to mention, their massive amounts of trade and large connections with the Terminus systems ensured that they were constantly needed. Shepard's current mission was to meet up with and work with some of the Commandoes, the plan being to help take down some Pirates who were attempting to take advantage of the Council's relative weakness. This could not stand, but the Asari needed help from the Alliance to get it done. That was the official call anyway: in reality, the Asari just wanted Jane to give them good press with the rest of the galaxy. But, if that meant the Blue Skins worked with everyone better, so be it.
How does her deployment start?
