Back to Molsis now ?

It did take quite a while for you and Rei to get every single piece of valuable into the runic dimension, yet you managed to do it. You were sure of one thing after that : Never will you do that again. It left your back quite painful, since you had to spend a lot of time bent over to pick up anything valuable, and you hated this feeling.

Although you hated the pain coursing through your back, you couldn't deny that it did come with a purpose. You now had a pretty much unlimited supply of money for a long time, and Rei was so excited by this thought that her tail was wagging wildly, as she practically was jumping around from the sheer excitement of all of this money now belonging to you. At least she wasn't feeling any pain in her back, you guessed with a sigh.

Afterwards, you and Rei went out of the cavern, the light of the outside almost blinding you, but not for long. After your eyes got used to the outside light, which did only take some seconds, you saw the four other girls sitting under a tree, waiting for you. And the sight of Allit wearing Lady Melda's spare cloak made you feel far more comfortable being around her already.

The dragonness was the first one to see you and Rei coming out of the cavern, and she didn't hide it as she said to you.

"Took you long enough, master ! I almost was thinking that there was too much money for you !"

Her remark made you sigh, both in annoyance and in discomfort, as your back was still painful, before you answered.

"I should have asked you to help..."

"You sure should have !" She replied with a chuckle. "After all, with my help, you would have done it far sooner."

This made you sigh once again, as you now thought that it was obvious that you should have asked Allit for help. But it was also new for you to be someone's master, and you couldn't quite say how it made you feel as of now. While you thought about it, Rei simply said, happyness still in her eyes because of the amount of gold she got to collect.

"Now, let's go back home ! I can't wait to empty the runic dimension to see just how much gold we now have !"

Her declaration was unexpected enough for all of you to simply... Obey. After all, it was the first time you've seen Rei take the initiative of saying something like this. And you weren't sure if it would be the last...

Suddenly, you felt something pierce your back, making you stop completely. As you looked down at your torso, you saw a sword, seemingly made out of light, stick out of it. And then, time slowed, as you quickly started to struggle to maintain yourself standing, your legs growing weaker with each passing second. Glancing around you, you could see the horrified faces of all the girls as they witnessed a singular sword coming seemingly from nowhere to stab you in the back.

All of them rushed to you, Rei grabbing you to not let you fall on the ground, and Douma using her healing magic on you before even reaching you, but you still felt your consciousness slip away. Your eyelids were quicly growing heavier and heavier, until... Everything went black.
