Deus Ex Machina

The next day, Aurora's given your car a clean bill of health. She changed the plates and painted the car, just in case.

"You know, playing with you two last night was fun. Almost made me want to come with you. But .. Maybe once all this AWIO business settles down. Okay?" Aurora says.

"Don't you have a sponsor?" You ask.

Aurora shakes her head. "Nope. They thought I was dead and disposed of me like I was yesterday's trash. So that's why your story resonates so strongly with me Mazl. "A feather?" You ask, looking surprised.

"Not just any feather, bzzt. A phoenix feather. Crushed and made into an elixir... its miraculous healing powerz can even save the dying." Molly says.

"I... I don't know. If I take that, I guarantee I'll be back at my former glory. I'll be strong again. Maybe even stronger. But I don't know. I don't want any more changes to my body. I want get strong for him, by him, with him. But.. I don't think we have much time on the clock for me to do that." Mazl says as she looks at the one way ticket to a very fast recovery.

"You should do whatever makes you the most comfortable, Mazl. We can handle AWIO for you. Your problems are mine as well, we are husband and wife. I'm here for you." You say as you take her paw.

"Yeah, and I haven't done a hell of a lot to help handle this problem of ours, you've been doing all the legwork. Literally. I'm tired of being a cripple. Can't go anywhere. Can't wash myself properly. Can't get dressed. Can't go to the bathroom. As much as I love you two for taking care of me every day without complaining, it's shit." A pause. "Fuck it. I'm game. Prepare the elixir." Mazl says.
