Chapter 7 by Zebra Zebra

In the vault...

Grieving the lost child...

As you stand in the threshold of the vault, the torchlight flickers and dances on the dusty, cobwebbed walls. You can't shake off the distant echoes of whispers and footsteps in the corridors. But you find solace in the fact that you're finally this close to finding Beebe, refusing to let go until the very end. Steeling your nerves, you enter the darkness of the vault, achieving the impossible, knowing that whatever truths await, you'll face them fearlessly.

The expansive vault seems to stretch into infinity, and amidst the shadows, you spot something small and familiar - Beebe's jersey, hanging limply on a rusted chain. The realization sets in that your friend was here, that he too may have uncovered the secrets held in this place. A feeling of déjà vu washes over you as you realize that perhaps Beebe never really disappeared, but only ventured deeper than you could have ever imagined, leaving behind hints on this eerie journey for you to find.

Ancient lost treasure of the Addison family, and laying in the middle of them is a small crumbled figure. Walking over to kneel down to look at the skeleton, clad in your new friends clothing only it is dust covered. "Beebe…" You **** in a trembling voice… gathering up the small mummified body in your arms. You leave the vault behind returning to the library, where you lay them on a polish wooden table.

Bellworth gathers the family, and you explain to them everything that had happened. Henry and Catherine openly mourn over their lost child, while Alex and Lily look confused having never known about Beebe. Mary and Bellworth also look very sad, while Bernhardt is so frightened he will not even come into the room.

"Young man you have done this family a great service." Henry growled in his gravelly voice, reaching out to stroke the mummies hair gently. "You have returned our lost child... we are grateful to you for giving us a chance to say goodbye and mourn him properly. Know that you have earned a place here, Thornwood hall will be your home from now on. Bellworth show him to the blue room, and see to it that he has everything he needs. "

As you thank Henry for their kindness and embrace the family in a collective hug, you can't help but feel an incredible sense of relief and accomplishment. You have not only found Beebe but also uncovered a lost chapter in the Addison family history. You have earned your place in Thornwood Hall and feel a renewed sense of purpose.

In the peaceful solitude of the blue room, you take a moment to pause and reflect, holding the mummified figure of Beebe in your arms. You have come full circle, discovering not only the truth of your friend's whereabouts but also finding a new family who will cherish you and your memory.

Overcome with emotion, you make a silent promise to honor Beebe's memory and the Addison family legacy, dedicating your life to protecting and preserving the treasures of Thornwood Hall. And as you lay your head to rest in the blue room, you know that you are no longer alone, nor without a purpose.

Bellworth, the wise and loyal caretaker, watches over you with a warm, knowing smile. Tomorrow, a new adventure awaits, and you can't wait to see what mysteries the halls of Thornwood Hall will unveil.
