Recovery

The one good thing about getting the shit beat out of you is having a bunch of girls worrying over you.

Jasmine made a SOS call, and soon my house was flooded with girls.

But the thing that really surprised me was that Amy's dad came over.

"Nice place you got. But where are your parents?" he asked as he supervised. He tried to help me, but Heather wouldn't let anyone else get close. Amy and Lyn were sitting near by as she patched me up. Jasmine and May were in the corner. Emily and Mio couldn't make it.

"I don't know" I answered him. It didn't seem like this sat well with him.

"I can't believe Astrid did this" said Heather in despair. I gently rubbed her leg.

"She's just confused babe" I tried telling her, but she didn't seem to accept this answer.

"This is too far. You're my boyfriend" she said before I cupped her cheek, making her shudder.

"Don't give up on her" I said. I know Astrid probably doesn't deserve another chance, but I just can't bring myself to give up on her.

"Dude, how can you still be willing to forgive her?" asked May. Well, my answer is right in front of me.

"Because I was able to forgive and even love Heather" I said, making Heather hug me. A hug that Amy and Lyn joined in on.

"I'm not going to pretend to understand all this, but as long as Amy is happy, who am I to say no" said her dad, making me smile.

"Thanks sir" I said.

"I wish my dad was the same. But that's not important. Get up" said Heather as she pulled me up, although it was painful.

"Come on, dinner is on me" she said. I wanted to protest, but I could tell it was a bad idea.

"Sorry, but Amy and I have plans" said her dad. Yeah, I feel kinda bad.

"I'm gonna stay here" said Jasmine, and May agreed to stay with her.

So I walked out the door with Lyn and Heather, as well as a feeling something really bad is coming.
