Getting some work done

Zane POV

Finally... FINALLY the main office building was finished. Renovations done in record time with a group of 40 clones helping the day and night crews, working with them to get everything taken care of. My clones even managed to use a little magic to help with the process. Now here I am walking through the building, checking things out as the improvements are being listed to me by one of the renovators. My clones gathering around waiting for further orders as I left a message to a certain Spider. "Hey Pete? You have time to drop by the office building? Gonna need your help with a few things if you've got time. We need to start getting the lab set up after all. Let me know when you can drop by yeah?" With that done I sent off a mental message asking a certain redhead a few things, I got a response back pretty quick as she explained a few things and shared a bit of info.

With that info in hand I headed out, it took me a good hour to follow that info and find who I was looking for. "Hello? I have something of a deal to offer you... Come on, I know your here Doctor..." I called out as I got into the building, looking around slowly moving further into the abandoned building. I can hear the Doctor trying to keep quiet, trying to slip through the building away from me. "Wouldn't you like to return to the scientific world Doctor? To not have to steal or work for people that want to take advantage of you for their own plans? I have a way for you to not have to live this life of crime anymore, can't give you the details if you run off though can I, Otto?" That's when I saw the doctor, slowly moving towards me as I heard a voice different from the one I'd heard in battle. "I'm afraid you have the WRONG doctor young man..." I heard as a body stepped out, one much thinner than I remember Dr Octavius having before.

"I'm Olivia Octavius now..." I heard as I saw this beautiful woman walk out of the shadows, an oversized coat covering her body with her hair almost in some kind of nerdy afro style, it certainly looked cute to say the least though. "That's... surprising. Though that MAY make this easier actually. The whole of new york is on the look out for OTTO after all, a few people might need to know the truth but other than that as long as you keep the tentacles hidden I don't think you'll have much to worry about. Won't you hear me out? It won't cost you anything but a little time..."

Soon... Soon the Spider-man will die... Today's preparation MUST be fool proof... With all the money at my disposal, I was able to hire MORE than sufficient numbers to keep any potential problems busy. Those Spider's won't be able to interfere, those other hero's either... This job should be EASY with all the measures in place... If anyone DOES get in my way then that BRUTE can deal with them...
Don't worry Harry, once I'm done with this job, Daddy can come home...

Zane POV

So that discussion took a bit longer than expected, then again Liv had quite a few concerns, especially with these new changes she's undergone. Now though for once it's ME late to meet up with Peter, from everything I've heard it's usually the other way around. I called him to let him know I'd be flying in within minutes, got a joke about how he's the one that ends up busy most of the time. I just rolled my eyes and started my flight a few hundred thousand dollars lighter, figured Liv could use some capital for living expenses and whatnot. She tried to refuse but I told her to consider it a gift and use it to better acclimate herself to her new situation. I was able to to call for some nearby help for her even, Jean had been passing that area heading for a nearby mall and upon hearing Liv's situation practically jumped at the chance to help out, Helen apparently having joined her to head out shopping, in need of things herself by the sounds of it.

With that taken care of I flew to the office building to talk to Pete, thought I'd ask him how the others were doing, Gwen apparently was busy as they hadn't heard from her for a couple nights and Miles was being kept busy with school work. The bit about Gwen was a little concerning until Peter informed me that she was likely just working on some band related things and that she played the drums, I also got to hear a bit about what miles was into with Art and Music. "I'm surprised any of you can find the time for such things honestly! Anyways I should explain why I asked you here huh? Well we need to get the Lab outfitted with equipment, especially since we have a few Scientists that'll be joining us by the end of the week. Well one for sure, I got a couple others that said they'd consider checking out the building at least before giving an answer. The one that'll be joining us is one your familiar with too! I believe you remember Doctor Connors right?" I asked as Peter's face lit up. "Wait I thought he was taken in by Shield?" He asked in response.

"Oh it took some convincing but I was able to help calm their concerns, one of our projects will include trying to hopefully separate the Lizards mind from Doctor Connors body. My hope is to try and help the Lizard to have it's own body so that neither can influence the other anymore, and HOPEFULLY the lizard will become less... violent." I explained, Peter mostly nodding as he looked to be in thought. He explained how this wasn't an area of expertise for him we got to talking about how a specialist might be needed but there were quite a few options for us to look through. First things first though came getting the lab set up and everything we needed brought in, I gave Peter contact info for Dr Connors and set him up where he could take care of whatever was needed. I got called away a few minutes later unfortunately, I received a request to come by for a meeting with people I couldn't say no too...

I couldn't move... I couldn't do anything... I felt so trapped... I heard that voice again... Calling out to me... telling me to trust it... I tried to fight back but... It just sounded so alluring, it felt GOOD to listen too it... "Doesn't it feel great to listen~? To work together~? You know all about working as a team... so why don't we team up~?" I heard it whispering in my mind, I couldn't move my body but I could FEEL my legs quivering, it wasn't from fear though... "Come now Gwen... Your such a strong woman... Surely being stronger would help with all the crime you've been fighting... Why don't you let a little Venom into your life~?" T-there it was again! Whatever it was made my body SHAKE with pleasure, I heard the voice in my ear, a tongue along my neck, something nibbling at my ear... It let out a feminine giggle as I saw light return, looking out into my room for a moment to see how trapped I was, then this cocoon closed back up, sealing me into darkness again. "Mmm we're gonna have SO much fun darling~"
