When it rains...

I arrived at Avengers Tower once again, to see Tony looking like he was in time out, with Black Widow, Captain America, and one Dr Banner standing over him. "Alright what did he try to do with the Nth metal?" I asked like it was clear as day, Tony responding first. "What makes you think it was the Nth Metal?" I looked at him in deadpan for a moment. "Cause I got a message to come here, I've also given you the LEAST amount of it out of everyone that has access. Your track record is a point of concern to be fair, I mean should I keep going?" I heard a Hmph from him in response as he looked back down at his drink before finishing it, standing up to get a refill as Dr Banner walked over to introduce himself, Steven following Tony and watching his hands like he was WAITING for Stark to pull up a hidden keyboard out of thin air.

"Hello Dr Banner, nice to meet you." I shook the Doctors hand even as he smiled and began to ask about the Nth Metal, he got into a bit of a ramble before Natasha came over and explained that Tony had planned to make a new suit with the Nth Metal and set about first trying to produce more of it but nothing had worked. "So he's feeling upset that he's mostly wasted the Nth Metal he was given, as a large part of it is basically unworkable now." She giggled out a bit as I couldn't help chuckling. "Yeah that stuff isn't something that can just be produced currently, I'm just hoping that it's existence stays hidden for as long as possible. I can only imagine how many attacks would come if people found out where only person that can obtain more of it lived. I mean even just Aim or Hydra would be at least a little bit of a concern, but someone like Doom? Definitely can't let him get his hands on the stuff." I watched a shiver of fear move along Natasha's back as she agreed with me.

Shortly after that I began to talk more with Dr Banner, asking him if he'd be willing to work with other scientific minds. I of course offered him a place among the new Lab, I explained it was freshly built and we still had numerous devices and systems to get up and running but other than that it should be in working order soon enough. He was clearly much more concerned with the possibility of Hulk rampaging through it though, possibly hurting someone, though he did mention that he'd consider it. "So wait, why was I called here if you've already got Tony on lockdown?" I asked unable to stop wondering. "About that, Cap wants you to take the Nth metal back. Tony wants to request more. I would like to study it further myself and Natasha hasn't voted either way yet..." As Banner finished speaking, Natasha chimed in. "Actually I agree with Cap, take the Nth metal. If you were to give Tony more of it then others like Fury would ask for more as well. Tony can survive without a new toy to play with." She joked as I nodded my head. Tony tried to make a plea for keeping it but I cut him off. "Unless your willing to do all your research SUPERVISED with someone else having final say on how it's used, I'm taking the Nth metal back..." I waited for a minute, Tony looking like he was having a war in himself for a moment before he stepped aside and nodded his head.

I picked up the Nth metal and looked back at Tony. "Relax Tony, this won't be your only chance to study this stuff, just gotta be extra careful with it is all. I'll be happy to contact you with a place you can study it safely, once it's fully set up of cour-" I was cut off, I don't know what happened, I saw Natasha's eyes widen for a moment before I felt a tremendous **** slam into my back as a resounding BOOM shook the room and sent me flying head first into a wall. The only thing I saw after that was darkness...

??? POV

I stared out at the city, looking over MY city. I couldn't help myself, thinking over what was to come now that I was finally back in New York... Now to take care of the mission, then I'm free to do as I please... Sinister's General's are heading out to complete their missions. Hopefully that red head can keep those other hero's busy long enough for everyone to get into position... Oh! What a nice surprise, MORE distractions! This will make my job MUCH easier... I thought as I saw forces assaulting Avengers tower. Looking around I saw another attack taking place on the Baxter Building no less! This was quite chaotic! With so much going on, my mission would be easy to see through. I looked out the window watching as a certain black Jet rose out of the ground of the target location before flying off into the city to help. This stealth system was better than expected, Sinister's creation blocked the minds within the aircraft from being sensed by any telepaths. Perhaps I should look into studying this gear once the mission was complete... It's almost time, just one mission and then I'll be able to heal you, Harry...

Zane POV

I slowly picked myself up, my ears ringing, my head throbbing as I activated Red Medic on myself to clear up these effects. The first thing I heard? Gunfire. The next thing I noticed? A big man with a skull mask shooting at Cap as Steve kept his shield up, a team of soldiers joining in and opening fire on Steve as well. A moment later and I saw Tony in his armor fly in, helping to blast enemies and push back the soldiers, turning my head the other way I saw Natasha beating enemies left and right, past her I saw Banner keeping hidden, trying to keep Hulk from getting loose and succeeding for the time being. Looking around I caught sight of the Nth metal I was gonna take back from Stark, it had been reduced in size from Tony's experiments but currently? It was in the hands of a red headed woman stepping onto a helicopter, another 30 soldiers rushing in from the elevator and stairwell as the guy with the skull mask got onto the heli with her just as it took off. I was about to fly after them when a soldier with a shield BASHED it against my head and shoved a stun baton into my gut, two other soldiers rushing over to keep shocking me as well while I was down.

I couldn't focus, couldn't see much of anything that wasn't blurred, my body jerking around with shock after shock, one of the soldiers trying to STAB their baton into my NECK. That was the moment I managed to bring out some clones, just a casual 20 clones that surrounded and began to beat down these shield bearing, stun happy soldiers. I'll admit, my clones MAY have got a bit too rough with beating them down... to be fair though I was PISSED. My clones and I began moving, beating down soldiers left and right, targeting anyone with this strange head with tentacles looking design on their body armor. My clones swarmed the enemy soldiers as I made my way towards Tony and Steve. "We're going after them right?" I asked only for Natasha to put a hand on my shoulder. "Not yet, we need to try and repair some of this damage, besides there's the people they must have attacked so they could get this far inside the tower. First we fix things here as best we can, then we go get the Nth metal back."

Tony wasn't looking too good, the moment the helmet was off he looked a combination of pissed and worried. "Good news is that Hydra won't have any better luck than I did studying it, bad news is they'll test it as a weapon before anything else." Those words had me starting to take flight, Tony grabbing onto my shoulder to stop me. "Natasha's right, we help make sure everyone's okay here first. THEN we go after them. It'll take them time to do anything with the stuff anyways and it's too dangerous to follow them, you'd likely be going right into a trap." Tony finished explaining as Steve nodded his head at me, I landed back down and sent out my max number of clones to head through the building, checking everywhere to try and help as many as they could. "Then we should hurry every chance we have, Nth metal is MORE than dangerous when used as a weapon. If they use it the wrong way we could end up with another Ultron running around or worse..." I explained as I took a moment to close my eyes and try calming myself, even as the Heli disappeared from view.

That's when a voice came over the speakers. "-ger's tower! Calling Avenger's tower! This is Sue Storm! The Baster Building is under attack! We need some help over here!" As soon as we heard that there were several other messages coming in. "This is Luke Cage! She-hulk is down! We need help out here!" A moment later another voice rang out "This is Spider-man calling for assistance! Multiple villains on a rampage!" Miles? Pete must be REAL busy for him to be calling for help. Messages from SHIELD and a few other local hero's came in, it's like the whole city was under attack!
