Chapter 4 by TVWintergreen TVWintergreen

What's next?

Asuka's House

You decided to go to the girl’s house. You managed to get pretty far before realising that you had no idea where she lived. You returned to Maurice and he was very confused that you did not know anything about the map app and how to look up addresses. You marvelled down at the little black monolith in your hand.

Incredible… This map moves and expands and has as much or as little detail as I want it to have. Looking up landmarks and addresses is as simple as typing them into this little box. If I had this device for my conquests back home I’d be even more of a terror. You were finally where you needed to be so you stopped admiring the technology and stuffed the phone back into your pocket.

Finally looking up, you realised that you should have looked at a topographical map, rather than an area map. You thought that it would be fairly straightforward, but the home was at the top of a long set of stairs at the top of a steep hill. The whole area was surrounded by woods.

“Well… Time to get started.” You climbed the long stone stairwell optimistically. As you got halfway up and found yourself sweating you lamented:

So this is what it’s like having limited stamina… This body seriously sucks… You pulled yourself forward, slowing about two-thirds of the way up. Finally you arrived at the top panting and holding your chest.

Ever heard of exercise, Finn!?

Did you ever exercise? Fin asked.

I mean… No?

Exactly. Gnolls are just overpowered. You trained but did you ever try to be strong?

Look I- You stopped.

Wait, what are you doing calling me? Did something happen?

Yes… Do you not feel yourself slamming head first into wards? Fin uttered in disbelief.

“Uhm.” You looked back and noticed a few scorch marks on trees leading up to the temple.

“Hey, doesn’t this mean there’s magic, here?”

Not sure. It seems more like they are just trying to keep things at bay.

You snorted, glancing around the grounds at the top of the stairs. You stood before a giant red arch; through that you saw a decently-sized temple complex with some well-maintained gardens and polished stones..

How am I breaking through? Aren’t I super weak?

There may be a subtle difference between the strength of this body and the strength of our spirits.

“I don’t get it…” You scratched your head.

It’s just a guess. Should we find out more? I’ll leave you to it and focus on looking after things in the background.

You nodded and stepped forward casually. As you walked through the arch you actually felt a distinct **** pushing you back this time. It was like you, not your physical self but you, Djir, were being pushed away from the body. You felt a very faint and unusual disconnect for the first time since you arrived on Earth where the feeling of, and connection to Finn’s body began to fade and disappear, starting in the fingers and toes, working its way up.

“Not... good.” You grunted. Your spirit inhaled and steeled itself, but it was not enough. Then you felt Fin’s slender arms behind you, propping your own soul up as well. With the added help you took another step forward and immediately all of the resistance stopped. You regained control, huffing a bit.

“First my body gets my workout, now my spirit?” You shrugged and walked towards the main temple complex. After taking a few more steps forward you stopped in your tracks. Looking to your left, then your right you noticed you were flanked by girls. One of them was Asuka dressed in a strange garb that seemed a bit Aoian in design. When you returned your gaze forward you saw a tall older woman with long, smooth black hair and pale skin. Her brows were like thick ovals on her forehead and her eyes were focused on you.

“A-aunt… Is this real?” The girl that was not Asuka to your left asked. She had red hair as well and looked just a bit more mature.

The woman before you nodded to the girl. “Of course…”

Asuka gritted her teeth. “I didn’t believe it either until I saw it. Careful, Aunt. Those talisman’s don’t work.”

“You were simply using them in an unpractised manner, Asuka. You should have come to me as soon as you saw the signs.” The woman closed her eyes for a moment. In the blink of an eye she flicked both of her wrists. The yellow sheets of paper with symbols on them appeared, three in each hand. They were between her fingers.

“Hey, can you stop?” You asked nervously.

“Get out!” The woman yelled, taking a step forward. She launched the first three in her right hand, then the last three followed from her left. For paper, they flew surprisingly well. You got a bad feeling from them and actually took a nervous step back as they sailed right for you. You were far too slow to dodge so the talismans clung to you and seemed to have the same effect as the arch, but only for a moment because the moment they touched you they began to burn up until all of them were gone. You opened your eyes and lifted your head, looking around.

“Oh, I’m fine…”

The woman made an annoyed sound. “There may be no way to help the host without hurting him…” She explained gravely, looking to Asuka mostly.

“But Finn-” She complained before being quickly interrupted.

“We can’t worry about that at this point, Asuka.”

“Listen, I dunno what’s going on but-” You took a step forward. All of the women bounced back a few more steps. Only the dark-haired woman began to act immediately. She made symbols and signs with her hands and spoke in a strange, unfamiliar tongue.

This body only knows english… You lamented, watching her. After a few moments your annoyance finally boiled over. You grinned and let out a little chuckle.

“Listen up… I’m not planning to play the villain here, but none of your shit works on me, ladies! If you really wanna fight I doubt it’ll go well for you~” You tilted your chin up cockily. So far nothing has stuck so you felt pretty confident that it would continue along the same lines.

“Showing your true colours, Demon? Good… It makes it easier to teach my girls that her is no reasoning with you all.” She released her hands and expanded them, forming a trio of red whisps between them. Your eyes widened, assuming that you found magic on your own somehow.

“Holy shit! Magic!” You watched them get sent towards you, changing shape as they moved. You smirked, standing strong.

Djir! You have to get away! Fin chimed in suddenly.

You shrugged without taking your eyes off the changing whisps. “Why? None of this stuff works on us anyway.”

This feels different. The objective’s changed for them. He warned.

“What’s that supposed to m-” Before they reached you the wisps changed shape into a trio of small red foxes with red eyes glowing like fire and sharp teeth. Their bodies were formed of the roiling energy that the wisps were made of, but their colour and shape was becoming rather distinct as they continued to close the distance.

“Eh? Fox…?” You looked down, feeling one bite down painfully on your leg. The other two sealed their jaws around your wrists.

“Ow!” You yelped.

“Now!” The woman shouted.

“What now? More fucking magic?” You uttered.

“Nope!” Asuka shouted next to your ear. You turned, feeling a fist ramming into your side before you saw her. Then you felt another on your other side. All the air left your lungs as another fist slammed into your gut.

“N-not fair…” You rasped, losing consciousness.

You opened your eyes slowly to the inside of a wooden room. Over your head you noticed the statue of a creature. It was an animal but the ears and tail reminded you Fin, which is how you concluded that it was a fox. It was more like a guess, but you felt like you were close. As you tried to move you fell forward onto your face.

“Ow!” You shouted, your voice echoing. Your hands were tied behind your back and your feet were tied to your hands behind your back. Slowly you began to blush at the knot pattern, noticing ropes tied in a specific way around your pecs and your groin. It was then, as you were struggling on the ground on your belly, like a worm, that you realised one other important factor.

“Why the hell am I naked!?”

“That’s actually a very good question.” Asuke mumbled, coming into view. She reached down, pawing at you blindly, since she was shielding her eyes. She pulled you back up onto your knees.

“Aunt?” You finally rested your gaze on the pale woman, only this time she was seated in front, a few feet away. You wanted to know as well. The knots were far too tight. You basically could not budge even an inch in any direction. You were wrapped, as if in a web. The tying was done so precisely that the woman must have been an expert.

There has to be some reason. You thought.

“Well…” The woman smiled, cheeks flushing lightly as she looked at you. The woman licked over her plush lips.

You gasped. “You’re just a perv!”

Asuka stepped back. “N-no way! Right?” She looked to the woman she called Aunt.

She laughed and admitted. “It’s… Been a while since I’ve been able to do this.” Both you and Asuka looked at the woman in horror as all of your worst assumptions became true and the woman just kept laughing idly, enjoying the scene.

You shot a look up at the girl. “Halp…”

Asuka seemed tempted, but grimaced and quickly turned around, her face bright red. “Don’t talk to me… You’re not Finn.”

“Good. You’re learning.” The woman calmed down, mopping a tear from one eye.

“So… What are you?” She leaned close, pulling on the ropes and bringing her face close to your neck to sniff.

“You smell like a Demon, but… There seems to be so much more. It confuses all of my talismans, all of my wards… You are so strange for a Demon. Shapeshifter, possibly?” She transitioned from asking a question to just thinking out loud as she leaned away from you.

“I’m just a normal g-” You said innocently. However, you were unable to even finish before a sharp pain dug into you at three points. As you focused on the areas you became aware of the three foxes latching on. They were still surrounding you.

“Ow ow ow!”

“Speak more forwardly.” She warned.

“Asuka, you may want to leave.”

“I’ll be fine.” The girl promised, still turned away. She was only peeking a little over her shoulder.

“Very well.” She nodded.

“You are a Demon, aren’t you?”

“Uhm… Yeah? Probably?” You offered hesitantly.

The woman’s oval brows lifted. “That is an unexpected response. What do you mean probably?”

“I don’t know!” You shouted.

“I don’t know the stupid terms you people use. It’s all new to me…”

“You must have come from the demon realm, then.”

You sighed deeply. I wouldn’t cave to this usually, even if it hurt, but I can’t risk Finn’s body too much or Fin’ll be mad. You eyed the very real bite marks in some of the places where you felt the Foxes applying pressure.

Then again, who knows what bad stuff could happen if I give out too much info? Maybe I should just lie?You grinned.

“Heh. Yeah, I’m from the Demon Realm”

She nodded slowly. “I see. What was your position? You are a peculiar one. You have a powerful Aura, but a weak application of it.”

Asuka seemed to be guessing. “If the Spirit or Demon has a strong Aura but a weak application this would explain why the wards fail but the other stuff works?”

“Correct.” The woman smiled proudly.

“You’re quick on the uptake. All it took was one encounter for you to start to intuitively understand, it seems. My wards and talismans lost to the spirit, but since my bound spirits target the individual as a whole and your punches landed on the body, we could defeat him that way.”

You thought of a way to answer while you let them yap. Fin? Any advice? Yousighed, hearing no response.

Alright then. I probably just tell the ‘truth’ in a way that aligns with what they know. You smiled and finally interjected into their conversation with:

“My dad was the Demon King before the last Demon King.”

The woman stopped and grew serious. She stared at you very intently. “What?”

“Exactly what I said. You deaf?”

She touched her lip in thought. “How long ago?”

“Maybe about a thousand years ago I failed to take over after my dad died and the new King took over.” You felt smug. None of it would mean anything to her. It was all true, but it was just vague, contextless info.

She stared at you seriously. “You opposed the Demon Realm’s King? The one that has been in power for the past thousand years?”

“For a time… I tried in my life but then I was defeated and tragically sealed away…” You offered dramatically.

Idiot. Defeated by old age and sealed away in a dream world. Why’s she gotta know that, though? he tried to avoid snickering.

`Lucky I’m not a gnoll in times like this. I wouldn’t be able to control my laughter.’

“What’s all this mean, Aunt?”

“It means we may not be aligned as far apart as I first thought… Why did you invade this temple?”

You looked up at Asuka. She blushed and looked away. “She threw water at me and said some words so I wanted to ask why. When I got here I just walked in and it all got broke automatically. You think if I could use my power I’d be stuck like this in lewd rope bondage?”

The woman tried to smile to avoid looking annoyed, but a vein popped out on her pale forehead.

“I see… So you gave that much away before even planning to tell me, Asuka…”

The girl shook. “I-I was going to! I didn’t know this would happen.”

“How did you break through into this world if you were sealed in the Demon Realm?”

“Well… You see, he…” You smirked.

“The King was obsessed with me. He wanted me so bad. Sealing me wasn’t enough so he chased me into the prison a thousand years later to find me. I naturally tried to get away. In doing so I stumbled upon a way into this world from the prison.”

The woman stood up. “No! No no…” She chewed her fist.

“What?”

“If the Demon King finds the method you used, then he would have a way to break through into our world!”

You exhaled lightly through your nose. Wow… Making up villains or something? She doesn’t know shit. It’s obvious. I’ll gather info about this fake character so that I can play along better. You looked at her and asked.

“What’s terrifying about him to you? What do you know about the Demon King?”

“The Demon King, according to my knowledge, is a god that ascended from the Fox Spirits. He usurped the Demon King with the aid of the Fae Race and ruled for thousands of years as a tyrant. He is an evil, indifferent **** that seeks only to control and manipulate.” She explained gravely.

You blinked. Wait a minute… There’s no way… You asked nervously.

“Where did you hear all this, Auntie?”

“Don’t call me that.” She sighed, a subtle smirk crossing her lips as she looked over your bound form.

“I can barely control myself as is…”

You shuddered. “G-gross!”

Asuka nodded. “Agreed… Aunt, I didn’t know you were like this.”

“Ralx.” She ignored Asuka and continued to stare at you.

“This knowledge has been passed down by my mother, from the time of the fallen temple.”

“That place?” Asuka shuddered.

“Hmm?” You perked up,

“Nevermind.” The woman grimaced.

“What’s so bad about the Demon King coming into this world?” You tried not to sweat.

Considering the fact that he’s right here with me…

“When a spirit as powerful as that enters our world it has the potential to change things dramatically. Demons are aggressive, such as yourself. Fox Spirits on the other hand… That type of Demon is corrupting by its very nature unless brought to heel.” She seemed to droop tellingly and sullenly added.

“Sometimes even then…”

“Okay, whatever.” You rolled your eyes.

“So where do we go from here?”

“We need to form a pact.”

“Eh?” You cocked your head to one side quizzically. Both you and Asuke’s eyes widened dramatically as the woman began sliding her robes off, starting with her right shoulder. You could see the tops of her tits already.

“Huh?”

“Stopstopstop!” Asuka shouted, pulling her Aunt’s clothes back on.

“Thank you!” You looked to her like a saviour.

“You’re welcome!” She shouted back angrily, trying to desperately keep the woman’s clothes from falling out.

The Aunt swayed as she was shaken. “This is how it is done, though…”

“You can’t do that! It’s NOT allowed, Aunt!” Asuka insisted.

“I don’t get it… What the hell are you talking about?” You asked, leaning back as much as you could while you were tied up.

“This family contracts with spirits and demons, as you probably experienced. We must draw you from this innocent boy’s body-” She sucked on her lips, pausing a moment after she said that.

“and bring you to heel.”

“You can’t control me.”

“No… But you will agree to being controlled and that will seal the pact.” She explained brightly, still trying to remove her robes.

“Aunt, stooooop!” Asuka begged, pulling her robes up as the woman attempted to pull them off. Her face was bright red. The woman was just smiling idly, enjoying the push and pull of the situation.

“Hoho… The only other way would be for you to perform the ritual.” She looked at Asuka.

The girl stepped back. “Me?” She looked at you hesitantly.

“Hold up. What if I don’t want to?”

The woman fanned herself. “That complicates things a bit… We will likely have to do something about you that involves finding a way to kill you.”

“H-harsh! So I don’t even have a choice!?”

Back. Fin said within your mind.

Where were you!?

I was chatting up the three girls this woman contracted. I’m actually their great grandfather so they seemed pretty intrigued… They’ll try to help you if you just wanna walk away. Choice is yours.

Seems like I don’t wanna get bound, Fin… That’s obvious.

Depends what the deal is, Djir. You know, negotiation… Did you forget your brain back home?

Your jaw dropped. That was so mean! But you’re right… I feel like this guys brain is leaking into mine or something… It’s weird.

We… Will handle one thing at a time. For now figure out what you want to do.

Got it. You sighed.

“What’s your name, Auntie?”

She chuckled. “If you sign a pact with me or Asuka you can call me Auntie all you want. However… My name is Mishiko Seimei. You can call me Miss Seimei if you don’t want to be cute and affectionate~” She blew a kiss your way. You skillfully fell on your side to avoid it.

“That was a bit much.”

“Let’s make a deal.” You groaned, struggling until Asuka pulled you back upright.

“If I make a pact or whatever, what do you want from me?”

“We want to seal your ability to harm humans and to also allow the other side of the pact to give orders and commands.”

“These commands have to be followed?”

“It would be a bit useless otherwise, no?” She chuckled.

You side-eyed Asuka. If I make a pact with her… she doesn’t seem too bad. But, she also seems like I could manipulate her if I needed to.

Mishiko looked upon you very unkindly. “You seem to be having some nasty thoughts by the way you are looking at my Niece…” Her expression brightened.

“But my Asuka is a smart girl! Right?”

“R-right…” She looked like she was having an out of body experience.

“To do this I would need to- to do this ‘ritual’ with Finn’s body?”

“Or I can do it!” Mishiko was already in the process of removing her robes jovially as she said that.

“You’re not allowed!” Asuka yelled.

“Fine, it’ll be me.” She was bright red, redder than she ever had been. You looked up, noting her face was the same colour as her hair.

“Tomato…” You blurted out without thinking.

“The fuck’d you just say!?” She kicked you over.

“Ow! I’m a prisoner! This is against the rules of war!”

Fin chimed in. Choice is yours. I feel like both options are fine. The pact is a bit restrictive but getting closer to these people might give some insight into how they know about me… And why they are accusing me of being some evil, manipulative tyrant…
