An attempt to identify the tongues sadly yields nothing, "No target," Yulia repeats annoyed. Goma puts back on the tech armour.

Lemiel's angelic rays hit and seem to sever the tongues and destroy the dunes, but as the party watches the tongues seem to rapidly regenerate.

"Okay can't destroy them permanently, but if we need to get through here, destroying them and then quickly running through while they're regenerating, might work," Yulia notes.

"For now though the voices and I are in agreement, let's turn back," Cherchiel suggests and the rest all nod. They trudge back through the desert to the camp. The trip back is just as arduous as it was last time and they're all a little exhausted and thirsty after. Goma specifically is panting. The armour being back on seemingly increasing the speed at which she is affected by the heat. They all take another drink and take a moment to create some mana infused water, then convert it into normal water and refill the water jugs.

"Gambio wants to go north, another voice wants to go east," Yulia notes as Isalia is trying to use her hand to fan the overheated Goma.

"Well I guess it's our choice then... East or North?" Maple asks.

Yulia closes her eyes and begins to point between east and north, mumbling something under her breath. The rest watch in some confusion until she stops and opens her eyes.

"Let's go north," she says.

"Was that some kind of spell?" Lri asks, curious.

"Uh no it's... A child's song that's used to help make decisions," Yulia admits, "you point at the potential options with each word of the song and whichever you're pointing at when the song ends is the choice you go with," she explains.

"I mean I guess that works," Lri agrees.

The group heads north. After another arduous journey through the shifting and treacherous sands, they arrive at a new location, the sand here is different, an ominous bloody red. In one of the large red dunes there's a set of sandstone stairs and a constructed archway leading down into the sands.

"Well at least it will get us out of the sun," Yulia suggests and Goma nods emphatically, her breathing heavy.

"Goma want out of the sun... Goma on fire..." she groans.

"Goma's not doing well," Isalia states, gently rubbing Goma's head.

"I don't know if she'll be able to make another journey across the sands," she adds and Yulia approaches checking on her.

"Oh wow yeah she's in early stages of heat stroke, we need to get her somewhere cool," Yulia agrees.

"Some water will help, we should all take another drink anyway," Maple suggests.

More water does indeed seem to help Goma slightly, but she's still not doing well and Isalia takes the armour back off of her to try and cool her down a bit.

"Hopefully it's cool down there..." Lri suggests looking at the opening into the dark depths beneath the desert sands as Yulia and Maple create more water and refill the water jugs again.
