Scanning through the local messageboards, Ali pauses. There it is. A thread titled "Anyone hear about that dead broad behind the bar? Def sus." She clicks it - it's sharing a link to a local news story about the case, which she ignores - and begins to look through the replies.

(Spend 1 Hold: "What can it do?") Most of them are nothing - just people remarking on the weird news and wildly speculating about what the creature might be. One of them, however, catches her eye - a user called "AncientVampLover979" wrote just earlier today, "I got a friend in the police department, and based on what he said I think it's probably some kinda something that uses humans as hosts to reproduce. He said there was all sorts of mushrooms growing from the body, which makes sense - they took root in her. Or whatever mushrooms do. Personally, I'm gonna head outta town until whatever it is blows over."

Ali swallows. Oh, God. Could that be what it's doing? Is it like...some kind of chestburster-type thing? She feels sick. She keeps scrolling, and sees another response to the post (spending 1 hold: "Where did it go?"):

"I ran some divs," a user named "WiccaGoddessGoodness" wrote. "Got a new nexus of power in the city - that's rare. Seemed centered in the sewers. Stay away if you know what's good for you."

Ali chews her lip furiously. Well, that's bad. Bad all around. Really, really bad. She sighs and runs a finger through her hair. Information on these kinds of sites is not...always reliable, but these two seem like they're probably legit to her. She mutters a curse under her breath. And I haven't even found anyone to help me out with the amulet...damn it. Still, she knows that she should let the others know what she's found out.

Just as she thinks that, she gets a text from Phuong. Her eyes widen as she reads the message, then she takes off at a run, heading back to the study room.

Mike, left alone after the others have gone on their quest for knowledge, sighs and pulls out his laptop. Ok...where to start...? For a brief moment, left alone in this closed room, he considers looking up some porn.

Then he shakes his head and moves on. No. Focus! Gotta figure out how to kill this monster...before it kills anyone else...
